"I hope to create a close patient-doctor relationship based on trust and mutual respect. I believe my patients’ medical treatment begins with their complete understanding of their condition, and I promise to do my very best to understand the cause of your pain and then provide a treatment approach that is tailored to meet your specific needs.

I believe that my success in diagnosing and treating orthopedic problems was borne out of my own personal traumatic injury to my legs. While living in Peru, I was struck by a commuter bus, severely injuring my legs and forever changing my life. I have experienced many of the same surgeries that I now perform on my own patients — and I believe this experience has allowed me to be more in tune with my patients’ concerns, symptoms and experiences.

Gregory Carlson, MD, of Restore Orthopedics and Spine Center in Orange, California, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in spine surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive spinal surgery for rapid recovery, including diagnosis and repair of previously failed spinal surgeries, revision surgery, and artificial disc replacement and other motion preservation techniques. He also performs microsurgical procedures for herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and other neurocompressive problems.

Mehul Taylor, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Valley Orthopedic Institute in Palmdale and Ridgecrest, California. In addition to treating male and female patients of all ages who have general orthopedic issues, Dr. Taylor specializes in diagnosing and treating athletic injuries and arthroscopic surgeries.

Anand Shah, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and board-certified orthopedic hand surgeon and the owner of Valley Orthopedic Institute in Palmdale and Ridgecrest, California. Opening the doors to Valley Orthopedic Institute marked a homecoming for Dr. Shah, who went to Quartz Hill High School in Lancaster, California, which is just a few minutes away from Palmdale in the Antelope Valley. 

Dr. Shah graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in physiology and neuroscience. He excelled in earning his medical degree at Chicago Medical School in North Chicago in 2002, graduating first in his class and gaining election to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

Next came an orthopedic residency at the University of Miami, Florida, and then Dr. Shah returned to UC San Diego for a fellowship program for hand, upper extremity, and microsurgery. 

During his fellowship, Dr. Shah also contributed two chapters in a medical textbook, “Master’s Techniques in Orthopaedic Surgery – The Wrist,” one on hamate hook fractures and the other on radial styloidectomy.

Dr. Mitchell McDowell, a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, specializes in hip and knee reconstruction. He co-founded M Bone and Joint and serves as CEO. A Southern California native, he earned his undergraduate degree with Howard Hughes Medical Institute Honors from CSU Long Beach and completed medical training at Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. McDowell completed residency at Riverside University Health System and an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Rush University. Before founding M Bone and Joint, he practiced for eight years as an award-winning surgeon, mentor, and researcher. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at UC Riverside and Western University. Dr. Samuel W. Park is a board-certified orthpaedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee arthroplasty. Dr. Park is a Harvard Fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, and the first surgeon on the West Coast to utilize robotic technology for knee arthroplasties. The combination of Dr. Park's extensive surgical experience and innovative robotic resources ensures a higher recovery rate while minimizing post-operative infection reports. Dr. Eidt is a specialist and expert in caring for patients with sports injuries including complex shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle problems. His expertise is in the arthroscopic management of sports injuries. Dr. Eidt is double board certified in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine as well as General Orthopaedic Surgery. He attended the military medical school, Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD, where he was elected to the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA).  His undergraduate degree in economics with a chemistry minor, was completed at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. As a result of 16 years of service in the U.S. Army Dr. Eidt has an extensive practice caring for both pediatric and adult patients with complex traumatic injuries.

Dr. Eidt was deployed several times through his Army career. Notably he spent a year on the 38^th parallel at the DMZ in South Korea. He was deployed in combat and assigned to the 173^rd Airborne Division at a forward operating base with the 2^nd FST (a forward surgical team) in Afghanistan, as well as assignments to hospitals in Kandahar and Bagram.  Because of his excellent care of both military and civilian casualties under combat conditions in Afghanistan, Dr. Eidt was awarded the Bronze Star. 

 Dr. Eidt is the orthopaedic consultant and team physician for St. Margaret's Episcopal School's lacrosse and football teams. He has supported Trabuco Hills High School and JSerra Catholic School as their team physician. He was a faculty member for the U.S Army’s primary care sports medicine fellowship. He has also been team physician for the U.S. Army 2nd Infantry Division wrestling tournaments as well as many other local and regional sports competitions.  Dr. Eidt came with his family to Southern California and began his practice in Mission Viejo after a 16 year Army career.
