Dr. Singh completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Davis, and earned her medical degree at the University of California Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento. She served as an orthopedic surgery resident for five years at the UC Davis Medical Center, where she earned the Reno Orthopaedic Trauma Award and the Orthopaedic Resident of the Year Award. Dr. Singh also fulfilled a hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at Harvard.

Brian Magovern, MD, joined Coastal Ortho as an orthopedic surgeon in 2012. He joined the practice in El Segundo and Torrance, California, to treat patients in modern, state-of-the-art facilities with a high-speed open MRI machine and a full physical, hand, and aquatic therapy department.
While completing his internship in surgery at UC San Francisco, Dr. Magovern realized that this very specialized field — which often involves puzzle-like reconstructing of several broken bone pieces — was exactly what he wanted to do and that he was excellent at it.
He followed his internship with a residency at Loyola University Chicago, then a fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

John F. Flemming, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Coastal Ortho with offices in El Segundo and Torrance, California. He joined the team in 2017 because he was impressed by how the practice built a reputation of trust, respect, and empathy that aligns with his values.
As a child, Dr. Flemming spent his days off school at his mother’s workplace, a chiropractor’s office on the south side of Chicago. He followed the doctor, noticing that he was always kind, informative, and adored by his patients. This inspired him to want to make that kind of impact someday. Dr. Fleming ultimately chose to specialize in orthopedic spine surgery because of its unique and profound capacity to improve the lives of his patients.
Born in Chicago, Dr. Flemming graduated from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. During his surgical training, he sought new challenges around every bend because he knew it would eventually pay off for his patients.
Today, he is trained in a relatively new form of minimally invasive spine surgery called the MidLIF (Midline Lumbar Interbody Fusion). It utilizes advanced imaging during the operation to decrease incision size and minimize the amount of internal surgery necessary to achieve spinal fusion.
Dr. Fleming also has advanced training in the side-body incision technique of Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion, which avoids dissecting large amounts of muscles from the back. These options are combined with traditional open surgery to find the best-fit operation for each individual.
He also invests his time in research and intraoperative and clinical teaching for the orthopedic residents at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
When not working, you can find him paddle boarding, cycling, hiking, and enjoying the beach community. He also attends Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and is thankful for his community.

Nicholas M. Halikis, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a certified specialization in hand and upper extremity surgery. Dr. Loddengaard's fascination with orthopedic medicine came from several influences. He has been captivated by science and technology since childhood. His drive to solve three-dimensional challenges and work with his hands and tools was only the beginning of his journey. As his career took shape, he discovered how extremely gratifying it was to improve people's lives through surgery.
Dr. Loddengaard moved from New York to California in 1970 to study at the California Institute of Technology. He then completed medical school at the University of California, Los Angeles, and residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Stephenson pursued orthopedics after becoming injured during his freshman year of college. As an NCAA Division I water polo player and swimmer, he was eager to return to athletics after the incident. His doctors and therapists were incredible during the whole process, successfully helping him get back to sports. This experience inspired Dr. Stephenson to pursue a career in orthopedic medicine to focus on patients with complex knee problems, joint preservation needs, shoulder injuries, and sports medicine issues.

I believe that my success in diagnosing and treating orthopedic problems was borne out of my own personal traumatic injury to my legs. While living in Peru, I was struck by a commuter bus, severely injuring my legs and forever changing my life. I have experienced many of the same surgeries that I now perform on my own patients — and I believe this experience has allowed me to be more in tune with my patients’ concerns, symptoms and experiences.

Navid Ghalambor, MD, is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in shoulder, elbow and wrist surgeries, with special emphasis on the treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions. He received his medical degree from the University of Southern California - Keck School of Medicine. He subsequently completed his orthopaedic surgery residency training at the University of Southern California – Los Angeles County Medical Center. Dr. Ghalambor underwent fellowship training in shoulder arthroscopy and reconstruction at the renowned Harvard Shoulder Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Brigham and Woman’s Hospital in Boston. He also underwent an adult arthritis and reconstruction fellowship at the UCLA/Orthopaedic Hospital in Los Angeles.
Dr. Navid Ghalambor was awarded the graduate research fellowship during his medical school training at USC. During his orthopaedic surgery training at USC, he was chosen by the faculty to be a chief resident of the program, which was one of the largest orthopaedic residencies in the country. Dr. Ghalambor has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of orthopaedic surgery at USC for 12 years and during this time he has been involved in the training of orthopaedic surgery residents at the USC Sports Service. He has also served as an instructor of orthopaedic surgery at the Harvard Orthopaedic Surgery Program.
Dr. Ghalambor has published numerous articles in peer reviewed orthopaedic surgery journals including articles on shoulder arthroplasty, instability and stiffness. He has been voted as being one of the “top doctors” in Orange County by Orange Coast Magazine and Orange County Medical Association. Dr. Ghalambor enjoys trail running and hiking. One of his most memorable sports experiences was being the head coach of his son’s AYSO soccer team for 4 years and leading his BU10 Team to local and regional finals. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and oil painting.
Gregory Carlson, MD, of Restore Orthopedics and Spine Center in Orange, California, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in spine surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive spinal surgery for rapid recovery, including diagnosis and repair of previously failed spinal surgeries, revision surgery, and artificial disc replacement and other motion preservation techniques. He also performs microsurgical procedures for herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and other neurocompressive problems.
After completing his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology at Southern University in Collegedale, Tennessee, Dr. Carlson attended medical school in California, at Loma Linda University, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Duke Hasson, M.D. is an orthopaedic surgeon fellowship-trained in Adult Reconstructive surgery. He received his undergraduate degree from SMU, a doctor of medicine from The University of Texas at Houston, and completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at The University of Colorado, Denver. Following his residency, Dr. Hasson received an additional year of training doing a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at the prestigious Insall Scott Kelly/NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases.
