Daniel Howard, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in sports medicine. He provides individualized, compassionate care to patients at Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group in Mount Kisco, Fishkill, and Carmel, New York, and Danbury, Connecticut.
Dr. Howard graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the cross country and track and field teams. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis before completing his orthopaedic surgery residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City, where he served as the Administrative Chief Resident during his final year. He then went on to the prestigious Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles to complete his sports medicine fellowship, where he was part of the medical staff of the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Galaxy, Los Angeles Sparks, and many junior colleges and high schools.
He has written numerous peer-reviewed publications and performed research involving NFL, MLB, MLS, and NWSL athletes. His research interests and projects include injury prevention in youth and adolescent pitchers and athletes, safe return to sport after injury, improving and measuring patient outcomes, and improving surgical techniques.
He was awarded top doctor from NY Top Docs, a division of USA Top Docs, in 2024.
Dr. Howard treats a wide variety of orthopaedic and sports-related issues of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and hip. He has particular clinical interests in knee injuries of the ligaments, meniscus, and cartilage; shoulder injuries of the rotator cuff, labrum, and instability; working with overhead and throwing athletes; and working with runners.
Dr. Howard offers his patients specialized treatment with minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery and robotic-assisted knee replacement surgery, as well as state-of-the-art technology including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell treatment. Yariv Maghen, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group in Fishkill and Carmel, New York, and Danbury, Connecticut. In addition to general orthopaedic conditions, Dr. Maghen employs both surgical and non-surgical options in treating various musculoskeletal disorders.
Dr. Maghen graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with honors and earned his medical degree at New York Medical College. He completed his general orthopaedic training at Westchester Medical Center in New York, a level 1 trauma center serving the entire Hudson Valley. Dr. Maghen then completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery in Mount Sinai Hospital and Tisch Hospital in New York City, where he was trained by world leaders in the field.

Kenneth Alleyne, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in sports medicine at Eastern Orthopedics and Sports Medicine with offices in Bloomfield, South Windsor, and Tolland, Connecticut, and Midtown East, New York City.
Dr. Alleyne is a native of Hartford, Connecticut, and of Caribbean parentage (Barbados and Jamaica). He graduated from the Kingswood-Oxford School before attending Williams College, where he was a three-sport athlete and carried out his pre-medical studies. He subsequently enrolled in the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where he was involved as president of the Student National Medical Association, founded the Winston Salem Mentor Network, and carried out primary research.
During his time in medical school, he accepted a research fellowship at Harvard/MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, where he worked to advance novel research in bone healing under the leadership of Dr. Cato Laurencin. He subsequently completed orthopedic surgical training at Howard University Hospital and a fellowship in Knee and Shoulder Surgery and Sports Medicine at Yale University, where he was an associate team physician for the school's football team and local high school athletics.
Dr. Alleyne enjoys working with school-age children to active seniors and currently serves as a sports medicine consultant to many local athletes and teams. He has also served as venue physician for the US Open Tennis Tournament. Dr. Alleyne believes that healthy and active lifestyles are the key to successful living. He “partners” with his patients to help them achieve their goals of improved function and return to activity, whether it be walking around the grocery store or international athletic competition.
When injuries do occur, Dr. Alleyne offers innovative treatments like platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections and stem cell therapy to help heal his patients and get them back to their regular activities. Orthopedics and regenerative medicine are his passions.

He is married to Shaun Biggers, MD, an obstetrician/gynecologist with whom he shares the joy of their two children. He is an avid jazz enthusiast, cyclist, skier, and the number one fan of his children’s sports and performances.

David Lent, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Doctors United, with offices in the West Farms and Wakefield neighborhoods in Yonkers, New York. He is highly trained in orthopedic surgery, with over two decades of experience in the field.
Dr. Lent earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in health science from Yeshiva University in New York City, New York, and received his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine in New York City, New York.
He completed an orthopedic residency program at Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx, New York City, New York, and a sports medicine fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, New York.
