He earned his MD and MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles before specializing in orthopaedic surgery at Stanford University. He completed his fellowship in spine surgery at Stanford University Medical Center (SUMC) and St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco. He also served as a clinical instructor at SUMC.
Dr. Oshtory’s special interests are minimally-invasive surgery, cervical spine surgery, spinal deformity surgery, and biomedical device technology. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national meetings. He is a member of the North American Spine Society and the Society of Lateral Access Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS).
