His specific interests include pain related to nerve problems, sports injuries, and cancer. His pharmacy background has proven to be an asset while managing intractable pain. Dr. Sood is also skilled in treatment for unsightly and painful varicose veins, including sclerotherapy and vein ablation.
Dr. Sood has been concentrating on finding new ways to improve his patient’s quality of life through regenerative medicine. He feels that platelet-rich plasma therapy and stem cell treatments will be monumental in the future of medicine.
Dr. Sood continues to add to his education, staying up-to-date on the latest techniques and methods for anesthesiology and pain medicine. Ms. Eckenrode earned her Bachelor's of Science from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Registered Nurse and her Master's of Science as an Advanced Registered Nurse, also from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She worked in Cardiothoracic Medicine as a Nurse Practitioner, before transferring to Pain Management.
