Through his experience and fellowship training, he gained extensive expertise in utilizing advanced techniques to alleviate pain and enhance patients’ quality of life. He emphasizes improving patients’ pain and function, adopting a multimodal, whole-patient approach to ensure accurate diagnosis, tailored treatment, and compassionate care.
Dr. Behnaz completed his fellowship training in Interventional Pain at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). Dr. Behnaz completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Sentara Norfolk General and Portsmouth Naval Hospital, where he honed his skills in diagnosing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions. Prior to that, he worked at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
In his spare time, Dr. Behnaz enjoys cycling, long-form improv, and traveling.
