John Sartore is originally from Evansville, Indiana. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. Since his graduation from Marymount University in 2001, John has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Prior to starting Advantage Physical Therapy, John was the clinic manager at a busy outpatient rehabilitation office in Washington, DC. This office was the exclusive provider of physical therapy for the Washington Wizards and Washington Mystics. Following his time there, John worked with one of the top orthopedic surgery groups in Northern Virginia for five years. He was responsible for the care of patients following a variety of surgical procedures including ACL reconstruction, arthroscopic knee surgeries, total knee replacement surgery, total hip replacement surgery, arthroscopic hip labral repair, rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic shoulder labral repair, tennis elbow repair and ankle ligament reconstructions.
John has extensive experience in treating a wide variety of orthopedic injuries and conditions. While he specializes in the recovery from orthopedic and sports injuries, John has worked closely with both pediatric and geriatric populations. His treatment approach combines the use of manual therapy techniques, neuromuscular re-education, functional strengthening exercises and patient education to help his patients meet their rehabilitative goals.
He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and he strives to keep up with the most current rehabilitation research and treatments through continuing education courses in order to provide his patients the best care possible.
Jenna Bythrow is a leading physical therapist practicing at Advantage Physical Therapy in Falls Church, Virginia. She specializes in services including Pilates-based physical therapy, prenatal and post-natal therapies, and treatments for lower back pain and women’s health concerns.
She holds her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The George Washington University and her Master's degree in Physiology and Complementary and Alternative Medicine from Georgetown. Jenna currently serves as adjunct faculty for the Marymount University Doctor of Physical Therapy program and is a member of the Orthopedics sections and Performing Arts Special Interest Group of the American Physical Therapy Association. She has also been the Mind Body Director of a Baltimore-based Wellness Spa and has been working with private clients of all ages and abilities since 2001.
Jenna has over 12 years of experience in the health and wellness field as a Physical Therapist licensed in Virginia, a Pilates instructor certified through BASI Pilates, a Yoga Instructor certified through Integrative Yoga Therapy, and a Personal Trainer certified by the American Council on Exercise. She combines hands-on manual therapy techniques including Maitland Australian Manual Therapy, muscle energy techniques, and myofascial release, with a blend of yoga, Pilates, and functional exercise to treat her clients. She has special interests in orthopedics, performing arts medicine, pre/post-natal women’s health, and wellness. Dr. Jonely has primarily practiced physical therapy in the outpatient orthopedic setting where she specializes in non-operative orthopedic medicine and manual therapy, custom foot orthotics and persistent pain. She has completed advance training in manual therapy with the International Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (IAOM-US) and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Dr. Jonely retired her status as a certified athletic trainer, however in the past, she had numerous opportunities working with athletes at many levels of competition. She teaches course content in her areas of expertise including Management of Musculoskeletal Dysfunction I/II, and Women’s Health. Her research interests are focused on orthopedic practice management outcomes including collaborative medicine. Dr. Jonely is an active member of the APTA, AAOMPT, IAOM-US and also volunteers her clinical expertise at the Pro Bono Physical Therapy Clinic, Little Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Washington, D.C..
Ramon Go, MD is board certified in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Management. He has extensive training in treating both acute and chronic pain conditions. Dr. Go received his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed anesthesiology training at George Washington University Hospital where he was named chief resident. After residency, Dr. Go completed an additional two years of training for acute and chronic pain fellowships at both New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia and Cornell Medical centers. He has worked at Georgetown University Hospital as a director of pain where he received an award. Dr. Go has published in scientific journals, book chapters, and presented nationally. Dr. Go enjoys partnering with patients to come up with an individualized treatment plan to treat painful conditions.

Dr. Mosaddegh earned a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy from Howard University. She received her doctoral degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. Her research focus was on the effectiveness of physical therapy diagnoses of lumbar disease versus MRI. Dr. Mosaddegh has worked in the orthopedic and sports medicine field for more than 20 years.
She offers patients the most advanced physical therapy for optimizing movement, function, and health. She is guided by integrity, life-long learning, and a commitment to her patients’ health. Dr. Cort has a wealth of experience in orthopedic physical therapy and pain management. He originally graduated from Howard University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy and returned to his alma mater to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Dr. Cort specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of persons with myofascial pain syndrome, chronic pain syndrome, and other myofascial-related disorders. He has also specialized in industrial rehabilitation. Over the years, he has brought his diagnostic and treatment skills to patients with chronic headaches/migraines of a soft tissue/myofascial origin and has impacted the lives of many headache sufferers.
He studied dry needling techniques under the tutelage of Dr. Jan Dammerholt and applied these techniques in the treatment of patients with chronic pain, especially in the injured worker population. Dr. Court has combined his back-to-work program (work hardening) with dry needling and other pain management techniques to resolve many workman’s compensation cases and successfully assist injured workers to return to work full duty.
Dr. Cort currently treats a significant number of injured workers, taking them from the point of injury to a successful return to work. He has and continues to treat patients with headaches and other orthopedic injuries successfully and finds pleasure in bringing relief to his patients.

He comes to PTSMC with a nearly sixteen-year history with the University of Maryland Rehab and Ortho Institute, treating patients with a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological issues, ranging from spinal cord injuries and amputations to Guillain-Barré syndrome and Multiple Sclerosis. He also is very experienced with wheelchair seating and positioning as well as vestibular rehabilitation. Jonathan is also skilled at assessing and treating spine and pelvis dysfunction and gait and balance issues. He is very passionate about his career and views his patients as family members, deserving of all the same care, compassion, and attention. He also enjoys teaching. Dr. Stacey is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor, with many former interns now successful DPTs. He also served as an associate professor for several years at the University of Maryland Baltimore, School of Medicine, his alma mater. Jonathan is thrilled to have the opportunity to provide the PTSMC clients with a high level of care and to work with a very skilled therapy team at the clinic serving the Olney community and the surrounding area.

Prior to attending grad school, he had a nearly ten-year career with Wal-Mart, where he honed his customer service skills, frequently recognized for this both there and in his previous career at the University of Maryland.
Matthew Myers, PTA, is a skilled physical therapist assistant at the Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center location in Laurel, Maryland.
He graduated from Salisbury University in Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in community health. He furthered his education at Howard University and earned his physical therapist assistant license after graduation. Matthew is also an ACE-certified nutritionist as well as an ACE-certified personal trainer.
After first stepping into the gym with his father at a young age, Matthew became passionate about health and fitness. He is driven to help people improve their quality of life and to increase their happiness through health, fitness, and connection.
Outside of helping people at Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center, Matthew enjoys martial arts and UFC, going to the beach, reading, and watching movies in his spare time. He is a big dog lover and a dedicated bodybuilder. A strong Christian, his faith is important to him.
Patience Nduka is a well-experienced Doctor of Physical Therapy who is dedicated to patient care at the Bowie and Laurel locations of Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Center. She started her physical therapy career in Nigeria, where she earned her Master’s in physical therapy, from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. After completing her internship program, Dr. Nduka practiced physical therapy for a few years in Nigeria, where she gained extensive experience in various settings including general orthopedics, and women’s health through clinical rotation.
In the United States of America, Dr. Nduka earned her doctorate in physical therapy at Dominican University, New York. She is also certified in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy with Ola Grimsby Institute and Women’s Health.
Dr. Nduka utilizes a unique approach that combines soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, and scientific therapeutic exercise progression to identify and solve patients’ problems from the root. Driven by passion and compassion for over 15 years, Dr. Nduka is privileged to help people who suffer from pain, dysfunction, injury, and disability return to optimal function and improved quality of life.
Outside of treating patients, Dr. Nduka loves Christian music, dance, fitness, workouts, and church activities.
Emilia Kubera-Shelton is a well-experienced Doctor of Physical Therapy with a passion for outpatient care at the Bowie and Laurel locations of Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Center. She started her career at UNLV in Las Vegas, Nevada, obtaining a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
Emilia has treated patients ages 5 to 95, utilizing the McKenzie Method and her advanced manual therapy skills to do so. She has a special interest in impairments of the foot, ankle, spine, and shoulders and has provided care for patients with a multitude of diagnoses including neurological, orthopedic, cardiovascular, and respiratory conditions. Her expertise also includes a focus on orthopedic conditions, debility, rehabilitation after surgeries as well as balance disorders, fall prevention, and chronic conditions.
Outside of treating patients, Emilia loves teaching students and is a certified clinical instructor. She really loves her job and is looking forward to making long-lasting relationships with patients as well.
Shangyuan Wang, DPT, is a doctor of physical therapy and an office manager at the Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center location in Riverdale, Maryland.
Dr. Wang specializes in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with a wide range of physical disabilities, movement dysfunctions, and impairments. He graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science in exercise science. Dr. Wang furthered his education at Howard University, and he received his doctorate in physical therapy in 2016.
He has experience in skilled nursing facilities and inpatient rehab settings. Dr. Wang hopes to use his clinical skills to help his patients at Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center’s Riverdale, Maryland, location.
