JJ received his bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA in Las Piñas City in the Philippines, graduating with honors. After passing the United States boards in 1996, JJ began his career at AdventHealth Orlando in Florida. Since that time, he has worked in various clinical settings, including acute, sub-acute, and rehabilitation hospitals, outpatient orthopedics, skilled nursing facilities, and nursing homes in Lake Placid, Sebring, and Wauchula, Florida, gaining more than 15 years of experience.

During his time in Stony Brook’s Physical Therapy program, he completed clinical affiliations in acute care, pediatric, and outpatient vestibular/neurological/orthopedics. Since graduating, he has worked in an outpatient clinic and In-Home PT. All this has allowed him to treat patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, with a variety of cases ranging from neurological deficits to orthopedic pathology.
