Brad Rickert, DPT, is the Clinical Coordinator and a highly trained physical therapist at Bowman Physical Therapy in River Oaks and Houston Heights. He specializes in treating neck, back, shoulder, hip, and knee injuries and has additional expertise in neurologic physical therapy. Brad began his academic journey at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he earned a degree in kinesiology pre-professional. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. Additionally, he completed specialized training at Owens Recovery Science, becoming a certified Personalized Blood Flow Restriction (PBFR) provider.
Brad’s passion for physical therapy was sparked early on, influenced by his family of physical therapists and a lifelong love of sports. His interest in working with athletes—helping them stay healthy and perform at their best—fueled his dedication to the field. “The human body is incredibly strong and adaptable. We all have the ability to learn and change after an injury, and there is nothing more rewarding than helping someone return to the sport or activity they love,” says Brad.
His approach to care is both professional and personal. Having dealt with injuries himself, Brad understands the importance of individualized treatment and knows how to make therapy both effective and enjoyable. He keeps sessions upbeat and encouraging, pushing his patients to achieve their goals with empathy and determination.
Brad is a compassionate provider who believes in building meaningful relationships with his patients. He takes time to talk with each individual, educating them about their injuries and guiding them through exercise and lifestyle changes that support lasting health. Using a gradual, step-by-step approach, he helps patients return to the activities they love, motivating them by emphasizing the body’s natural resilience. Brad welcomes new patients and is committed to supporting current ones as they gain strength, confidence, and improved quality of life.

Royce Bowman, PT, is the Director of Operations and an exceptional physical therapist at Bowman Physical Therapy in the River Oaks neighborhood of Houston and Friendswood, Texas. He helps patients heal and rehabilitate from a wide range of orthopedic conditions, but he has a special interest in the knees and shoulders.
Royce believes in adapting to each patient and creating customized care that meets their needs. He follows a holistic approach, searching beyond obvious symptoms to identify and treat all the factors contributing to pain, injuries, and diseases.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, Royce received a Master’s in human performance and exercise physiology from the University of Houston - Clear Lake in Texas.
While studying human performance and exercise physiology, he had a transformative experience. His time spent in a sports medicine facility drew him toward physical therapy, a career path he embraced.
Royce pursued his passion for physical therapy by earning a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University Institute of Health Sciences. He’s also certified to perform dry needling.
“I fell in love with the concept of physical therapy, first of all, because I enjoy teaching. I teach patients how to do certain exercises or perform certain functions. I teach parents about their child’s injury or why they have a recurring problem. I’m not only teaching but also guiding and helping people get back to their quality of life.”
– Royce Bowman
Central to Royce’s approach is the belief that patient education is the foundation of rehabilitation. By understanding the reasons for their exercises and physical therapy treatments, patients feel informed and empowered, contributing to their overall health and well-being.
Royce welcomes new and current patients who need to recover from pain, injuries, and orthopedic surgeries and conditions.
