She completed her surgical residency at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital where she received excellent training and the ability to treat conditions of the foot and ankle both conservatively and surgically. Dr. Joseph is passionate about serving her community and is consistently working to stay up to date with current medicine. Her special interests include, but are not limited to, elective and trauma-related foot and ankle surgery, diabetic limb salvage, and sports medicine.
Dr. Mary Olszewski D.P.M. M.A. completed both her undergraduate and Masters degree at Drake University. She received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Dr.William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her surgical residency at the prestigious Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center. Additionally, she is double board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics.
Dr. Mary has been practicing in the Chicagoland area for over 29 years with extensive experience in all aspects of podiatry, with a specialty in wound and diabetic care. She is also the only doctor in the Midwest who utilizes a unique method of treating fat pad loss with injected sub-dermal fillers to help patients walk more comfortably.
Dr. Mary is on staff at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL, and North Shore University Health Systems in Skokie, IL.

Yelana Barsky, DPM, is a well-respected and experienced podiatrist providing patients with the highest-quality care and treatment at Global Podiatry in Chicago, Arlington Heights, and Wheeling, Illinois.
As a licensed podiatrist, Dr. Barsky has significant experience treating an array of foot-and ankle-related conditions, including foot and ankle injuries, bunions, hammertoes, plantar warts, ingrown toenails, fungal toenails, plantar fasciitis, neuroma, tendinitis, arthritis, flat feet, and pediatric foot care issues.
In addition, she is skilled in many approaches to foot surgery, including minimally-invasive approaches and traditional techniques, as well as the use of custom orthotics and state-of-the-art treatments like arthroereisis for flat feet. The practice is also equipped with a state-of-the-art digital X-ray and ultrasound machine so patients can receive a diagnosis faster and begin care as soon as possible.

Dr. Barsky earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Chicago, graduating with honors. She completed her medical degree at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois, before earning her spot in a competitive foot and ankle surgery residency at Loretto Hospital and the Same Day Surgery Network.
