Dr. Michael Birau received his Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from William M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. He completed his residency in Podiatric medicine and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at the James A Haley VA hospital where he served as Chief resident his 3rd year.
Dr. Michael Birau is board certified in Diabetic wound care by the American Board of Multiple specialities in Podiatric Medicine (ABMSP). He is also board qualified in Foot and Ankle surgery by the ABMSP. He is an active member of the American Society of Podiatric Surgery and American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Birau was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and grew up in a rural part of North Carolina. He is married and has 3 boys and is active in his community. He enjoys spending time with his family, grilling, fishing, college sports, and exploring DFW.
William Arrington, DPM, FACFAS, is an experienced podiatrist at Texas Foot & Ankle Specialists, PLLC, which has convenient locations in Mesquite, Forney, and Kaufman, Texas.
A Texas native, Dr. Arrington received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University before attending the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, where he received his degree in podiatric medicine. During this time, he also worked at the Veterans Hospital in Cleveland and Brecksville, Ohio. In 2003, Dr. Arrington completed his podiatric medicine and surgical residency in Dallas, Texas, and went on to start a private practice with Dr. Robert Young in Mesquite, Texas.
Dr. Arrington is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, a Diplomate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a Diplomate with the American Board of Physician Specialties. Dr. Arrington holds the honor of being one of the select few double board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons in Foot Surgery and Foot and Ankle Reconstruction. He is involved in the Dallas community as the Past Presidentof Dallas County Podiatric Society and Podiatric Medical Partners of Texas. In recent years, he was also elected as the Chief of Staff for Baylor Medical Center – Sunnyvale, a rare honor for podiatrists in the country.
Outside of his enthusiasm for podiatry, Dr. Arrington spends his time at his home in Heath, Texas, with his wife and three daughters. He enjoys church, golf, hunting, fishing, and is an Aggie Football fan.
Dr. Arrington is accepting new and existing patients at the Mesquite and Forney locations of Texas Foot & Ankle Specialists locations.
Dr. Amir Azer has been fascinated with the medical field and always felt that he was destined to help patients achieve their best health. Dr. Azer began his journey at the University of Texas at Arlington where he received a B.S. in Biology. He completed his medical and podiatric studies and obtained his podiatric medical (DPM) degree at Kent University College of Podiatric Medicine in Ohio. Dr. Azer completed a 3-year surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in Houston, Texas, and worked with some of the best podiatrists in Houston. During his residency, he focused on reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, forefoot surgery, trauma, and diabetic wound care. He also has a special interest in treating sports injuries involving the foot and ankle. Dr. Azer is excited to provide podiatric services to patients in the Hurst/North Richland Hills and south Dallas areas.
