A native Ohioan, Dr. Sheffey attended Ohio State University in Columbus for his undergraduate degree. He then attended the Dr. William M. He completed a three-year podiatric medicine and surgery residency at the NCVA/St. Joseph’s Hospital, also in Chicago. His training focused on both forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive procedures, along with basic podiatric medicine.

Raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Dr. Mirkovic completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in biology. She earned her medical degree at the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine (formerly Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine). She completed her post-graduate studies at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital of Chicago, during which she served as chief resident her final year. Her education focused on both forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery, as well as all aspects of podiatric medicine.
Dr. Mirkovic provides foot and ankle treatment to patients of all ages, including conservative and surgical options. She strives to provide patient-centered care and open a strong chain of communication between herself, her patients, and their families. Dr. Biren Shah, DPM, provides expert foot and ankle care at Midwest Foot and Ankle Associates in Rockford, Illinois. Specializing in reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, and diabetic foot care, he offers treatments such as arthroscopy, limb salvage, and flat foot reconstruction.
Dr. Shah earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering in India before relocating to the U.S. to pursue nuclear medicine and attend Barry University for medical school. During his residency at Mercy Hospital in Miami, he trained in sports medicine under Dr. James Losito, treating athletes from the Miami Heat and Miami Dolphins. Dr. Randall is a native of the Chicago area. He attended Mt. Carmel High School. He also attended Valparaiso University where he obtained a BS in Chemistry and Biology. He was granted the Illinois Podiatric Medical Student Scholarship during his attendance at the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine where he graduated in 2001 obtaining the Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. He continued his post graduate training in podiatric orthopedics and surgery. His interests include biomechanics, diabetic foot care and education. In his spare time, Dr. Randall also actively participates and volunteers locally for BetterInvesting, a national non-profit organization teaching others how to organize investment clubs.
