About Artemis OB/GYN
An integrated obstetrics and gynecology practice, Artemis OB/GYN in Union, New Jersey, allows women to experience pregnancy, labor, and childbirth with the support of a midwife while still having access to a board-certified physician, in the event the pregnancy becomes high-risk or complications arise.
In addition to obstetrics and midwifery, gynecology patients receive routine well-woman exams, treatment for fibroids, abnormal bleeding, and menopause, and minimally invasive gynecology surgery for conditions, including endometriosis or ovarian tumors.
Patients choosing midwife support for their pregnancy deliver babies at The Birth Center of New Jersey, which has birthing tubs for water births and has a design that creates the intimate feeling of an at-home birth while providing the safety of one-on-one care. Patients choosing obstetrician support deliver babies at one of three hospitals in the area.
Dedicated to meeting the unique needs of each patient, Artemis OB/GYN takes time to listen to the wants and needs of the patient, customizing their obstetrics and gynecological care. The state-of-the-art facility is a paperless practice for patient convenience, including access to a patient portal for scheduling appointments, requesting prescriptions, and retrieving test results.

I’ve been with my previous gyn for the past 10 years. Unfortunately, I’ve lost all connection with her during CoVid and 2021. I’ve been looking for a new gyn since but I haven’t been comfortable enough to move forward with doctors that I have visited. I’ve read about Artemis, visited their facility once and decided to book an appointment. It’s also important for me to work with doctors of color because I am a woman of color….IYKYK! So I chose to book my appointment with Dr. Chima however I met with Erin instead. Erin and the nurse (sorry I forgot your name) was AMAZING. They took their time with me and the nurse held my hand during my challenging moments. Erin was gentle, attentive and professional. The nurse who sat in on my examination has such a nurturing disposition that she calmed my nerves. In conclusion, I look forward to being a patient here. Thank you for a wonderful experience. AB

Dr. Pemberton is a breath of fresh air… When under her care just know she your in great hands, she made me feel at ease for my surgery and relieved my pain and explained so much in layman’s terms so I could better understand. I appreciate her so much for everything she’s done..

I had a wonderful experience there. The people that work there was very pleasant . Made you feel very comfortable. I would truly recommend The clinic to other people. And I will continue to go.
Our providers are amazing, the only problem is the front desk this been happening. Made an appointment for annual ,ultrasound ,bloodwork and consultation but we were only scheduled for the annual . Sadly we not the only ones that were scheduled wrong wich makes it hard for the provider.
Very rushed. Previous experience at this practice had been great unfortunately it seems to have gone downhill.

Dr. PEMBERTON is very engaging. She answered most of my questions before i asked them and took time to explain the procedure I am going to go through thoroughly, in layman’s language not medical jargon.
What a warm, gentle and KNOWLEDGEABLE Doctor!! It felt great that she REALLY ,REALLY took the time to LISTEN TO ME.... The practice overall is excellent and such a great staff. I regret not coming here years ago , I absolutely recommend this Doctor and this practice...

Nicola Pemberton, MD was the Delivering clinician, she is a RockStar who is amazing at her profession and life purpose. I feel so lucky that I just so happened to need to go into labor on a night that Nicola Pemberton, MD was on call. I thank my lucky stars. Dr. Pemberton honored my birth plan and I have a positive birth to show/tell for it. She also has a wonderful positive mental attitude and character about her that gave me a secure feeling that I carried with me into the birthing experience.
