With more than 40 years of experience working with women in all life stages, Carlos Cardenas, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist serving people in San Antonio, Texas. He provides a wide range of gynecology services, focusing on menopause management, preventive services and well-woman exams, and minimally invasive surgeries.
He completed an internship at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and his residency training at Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly Hahnemann Medical College) in Philadelphia. Dr. Cardenas is a co-founder of the Institute for Women’s Health, the largest OB/GYN and fertility practice in South Texas.
Dr. Cardenas is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, Texas Medical Association, and Bexar County Medical Society. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Methodist Ambulatory Surgical Center.
