The surgeons and staff at Rockwall Surgical Specialists have been privileged to provide surgical care to the residents of Rowlett, Rockwall, Greenville, Terrell, and Forney, Texas, for more than two decades. During that time, the practice has grown to include three surgeons, Dr. David Ritter, Dr. Ashley Egan, Dr. Jon Harris, and Dr. Joshua Mark. They’re all experts in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, which are both minimally invasive surgeries that give patients the advantage of less time in the hospital, quicker recovery, and minimal scarring.

The team at Rockwall Surgical Specialists also focus on improving the overall well-being of their patients by teaching them about their health and focusing on preventing the conditions they commonly have to treat. 

Rockwall Surgical Specialists welcomes patients with diverse health conditions requiring surgical intervention, including patients needing gallbladder, colon, hernia, thyroid, and reflux surgery. They take the time to talk with each patient to be sure they fully understand their underlying health problem and all the available treatment options, including surgery.

Their dedication to improving overall health is evident in the weight loss surgery program at Rockwall Surgical Specialists. In addition to providing several types of minimally invasive weight loss surgeries, they have nutritional experts on-site to provide diet, exercise, and lifestyle guidance.

The doctors at Rockwall Surgical Specialists perform colonoscopies, which are used to diagnose the cause of gastrointestinal symptoms and to screen for colon cancer. During routine colon cancer screenings, the doctors can prevent cancer by removing polyps, or catch the cancer at an early stage while it's still easy to treat.
