Dr. Ashley Egan, certified by the American Board of Surgery, practices at Rockwall Surgical Specialists, where she provides the full array of general and bariatric surgery procedures. Dr. Egan graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia, then completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She stayed in Dallas to finish her internship and residency training in general surgery at the Baylor University Medical Center.
Throughout her education, Dr. Egan served in leadership positions and received numerous awards, scholarships, and honors, including SEC Student Athlete of the Year. She was the starting goalkeeper on the University of Georgia soccer team during her college years. She has enjoyed transitioning her competitiveness and desire to improve from the soccer field into the operating room.
Outside of work, Dr. Egan enjoys playing golf, crossfit, and cooking.

Highly Professional . Excellent and informative.
Before she saw me, she throughly studied the patients medical history, lab report, and CT scan and ultrasound reports. Therefore she is able to diagnose my condition and further suggested the follow up procedures to make sure my health and well being.
After a 25 minute wait, I saw doctor. My appointment was changed to come 15 minutes early. Therefore, the long wait.
We had a great experience every one was kind and helpful.

Dr Egan was excellent. Not rushed and thorough.
Dr. Egan explained my issue, the procedure that needed to be done what recovery looked will look like, etc. I felt that she gave us the time needed to ask questions and answered them all.

Dr. Egan was thorough in explaining the process for hernia surgery. I have had a hernia since birth, which has caused Barrets Eshofogus. Getting my hernia repaired will help with the Barrets. They got me scheduled for next month. Everyone was cordial, the nurse and the receptionist. I will be glad to get this surgery completed.
I had an absess since June that antibiotics wouldn't get rid of and she fixed it same day while listening to my nervous silly words. You're great

Honestly I was shocked by how dr Egan took the time to talk with me and explain things to me. I am accustomed to doctors rushing and barely saying five words to you. I felt confident she was advising me in my best interest. Definitely recommend.
