Stephen Khachikian, MD, is a dedicated and experienced ophthalmologist serving patients in the Rapid City, South Dakota, area. As a cornea, cataract, and refractive specialist, Dr. Khachikian offers LASIK, corneal surgery, cataract surgery, PRK, and many other types of advanced eye care.

Dr. Khachikian earned his undergraduate degree at Siena College in Loudonville, New York, and went on to graduate from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. He completed his ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery in Albany as well.

Throughout his career, Dr. Khachikian has completed extensive research in the areas of eye disease, medical eye equipment advances, and state-of-the-art surgical techniques. Dr. Khachikian continues to participate in clinical research trials, and he’s a published author who’s well-known for his insightful articles on corneal and cataract surgeries.
