The Heart Institute of Venice, located in Venice, Sarasota, Bradenton, and Ellenton, Florida, serves all of Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, and Charlotte Counties. The Heart Institute of Venice is an independently owned cardiology practice that has been providing affordable, convenient health care since 2005. Medical director Barry Weckesser, MD, works closely with Amy Kinter, NP, to offer specialized cardiovascular imaging, testing, and treatment from their accredited facilities.
Dr. Weckesser has delivered noninvasive cardiac care in Venice for over 30 years and had the first cardiology practice to meet the latest standards laid down by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories (ICANL) for nuclear, vascular, and echocardiogram labs.
The diagnostic and treatment monitoring services available at The Heart Institute of Venice include nuclear stress testing, echocardiography, walking electrocardiography (EKG), pulse oximetry, echo-Doppler, telemetry, and Holter monitoring. The practice’s screening services include stroke, peripheral vascular disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), and aortic aneurysms.
The Heart Institute of Venice team provides enhanced external counterpulsation (EECP) therapy to improve cardiac blood flow. Coumadin® and pacemaker/implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) clinics are on-site, and chronic care management is available for patients with heart health problems.

I feel Blessed that I have been lead to Dr Barey Weckesser office the man has 55 years experience in cardiology He could have retired years ago, this tells me he must be passionate about his work. I’m looking forward to meeting him.
