Education and Training

Dr. Kallithrakas (aka Dr. K) was born and raised in the beautiful Athens, Greece, where he spent his childhood and began his journey to becoming a dentist, being influenced by the family tradition. After obtaining his dental degree (DDS) in Athens and after completing his military service in Greece, he moved to Florida to complete his three-year prosthodontics residency training, followed by a one-year fellowship in implant dentistry sponsored by Biomet 3i® at NOVA Southeastern University. He also received his Master in Science for his thesis titled: “The difference in microgap between zirconia and titanium abutments; a pilot study.” He participated in human research projects for short implants and guided surgery procedures as an adjunct member of the Department of Periodontics at NOVA Southeastern University.

During those four years of postgraduate training, he received advanced education in surgical and restorative procedures and treated multiple complex cases of fixed, removable, and maxillofacial prosthodontics. As a true believer in continuous education, he is currently in the process of obtaining his MBA degree with a focus in healthcare management from UMass Amherst. He is a member of the Florida Prosthodontic Association and the Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, among others, and he regularly attends meetings in order to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in implant dentistry.

Dr. Kallithrakas and his team at Novudentics have extensive training in dental implants and prosthodontics, allowing them to provide the highest level of care for restorative treatments, including but not limited to fixed prosthodontics like crowns, veneers, bridges, and removable prosthodontics like conventional or implant dentures. Dr. Nodesh’s background as a researcher, with many published articles in peer-reviewed journals, allows him to critically evaluate and implement new materials to customize care for his patients.

Dr. Nodesh has maintained active roles in research and education in the dental field. He has been an adjunct faculty member for the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons at the Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, a lecturer at the Florida Prosthodontic Association meeting, and a lecturer and hands-on trainer to general dentists in Miami. He has enjoyed volunteering at the Smile Train project — an organization that helps treat and care for children with cleft lip and palate.

Together with his wife, he moved to Florida in 2011 and has called it home ever since. He enjoys traveling to new places, experiencing new cultures, and trying diverse cuisines. 

In his free time, Dr. Nodesh enjoys working out, playing sports such as soccer and beach volleyball, DSLR photography, and hiking. His favorite food is biryani, a popular rice-based dish from India - he would do anything to get a good plate of it.

Dr. Davide Romeo received his dental degree summa con laude in 2005 and his PhD in New Techniques in Implant Dentistry and Prosthetic Rehabilitation from the Università degli Studi di Milano (Italy). His undergraduate and post-graduate experimental thesis were on the subject of Al-on-4 protocol. He also completed a one-year residency in Periodontics for international trained dentists at the Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at New York University
College of Dentistry (Chairman: Dr. D. Tarnow).

His background in periodontics, prosthodontics and implant dentistry allows him to offer comprehensive solutions and to perform both the surgical and restorative parts of dental treatment, from single tooth to full mouth rehabilitations, working cooperatively with colleagues of different specialties.

From his early days as a dental student, he has always been involved in research in the field of full-arch implant prostheses, digital dental technologies and dental materials. Dr. Romeo have authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and co-authored a book with his mentor, Prof. Agliardi, on Tilted Implants. He has lectured nationally and international on implant dentistry and prosthodontics.

He currently practices implant dentistry, prosthodontics and periodontics in New York City. In his spare time he enjoys traveling with his wife, trying new food and wines and watching Italian soccer.
