About Dr. Alexis Buffington, DO

Alexis Buffington, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist at Vivida Dermatology in Henderson, Nevada. She is dedicated to providing exceptional skin care to her patients. 

Originally from San Diego, California, Dr. Buffington earned her undergraduate degree in biochemistry and cell biology from the University of California, San Diego. She then went on to obtain her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Lebanon, Oregon, before completing her internship and residency at Beaumont Health in Detroit, Michigan, where she served as chief resident.

With a particular focus on treating and preventing skin cancer, acne, atopic dermatitis, and psoriasis, Dr. Buffington employs her extensive training to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and the Nevada Society for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.

Residing in Henderson with her husband and son, Dr. Buffington enjoys exploring the world and has traveled to over 20 countries. In her free time, she is an avid reader and enjoys cooking with her husband, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
