Dr MESIWALA was wonderful and explained the back surgery I needed in a way and with options NONE of the other surgeons I’d met with ever brought up, and for the first time have someone I trust and a way to do my L-4 to S-1 surgeryShow more without any loss of mobility or added pressure on my L-3 disc by first installing a artificial disc at L-4 to L-5 and then to see if I still needed a L-5 to S-1 fusion which due to a fracture can’t be fixed with another Artificial disc. I was also amazed that I actually might have more mobility than the great mobility I currently have since my L-4 to L-5 is bone on bone already. I just wish Medicare covered artificial disc replacement for people over 60 since this is by far the best option with a much faster healing, less pain and is an out patient procedure. For the last 11 years I’ve lived with severe chronic pain which Dr Mesiwala thinks may be much better after the artificial disc implant is done. If there is still pain after the ADR then I can get a medicare covered fusion done at L-5 to S-1. The great thing is that by getting an artificial disc first at L-4 to L-5 first, it will keep the normañ fusion pressure off L-3 which could weaken over time and require future surgery at L-3, PLUS I WILL GET BETTER MOBILITY THAN I HAVE NOW WHICH IS DARN GOOD. Dr. Mesiwala is an outstanding surgeon that really cares about his patients. I went to him years after having cervical spinal surgery but still being in a great amount of pain. He was able to spot the surgery was not done correctlShow morey. With all the problems I was having he decided it would be a good idea to image more of my spine. Because of his intuition, we found problems in many levels. After my imaging was complete, I had lost my insurance. Dr. Mesiwala was so gracious and caring, he waived his fees so he could go over the imaging and create a plan, and one thay would be the least invasive. I have never had a medical professional willing to do this. Dr. Mesiwala is a top notch surgeon that really cares. I have already recommended patients and will continue to do so. Because of this my PCP is also recommending patients to him There is not a better neurosurgeon out there. Amd you will not find one that cares as much as he does. Dr. Mesiwala listened to me as I told him all my symptoms and he reviewed several of my MRIs. He was very confident in what treatment / surgery I need. It was a relief for me to see such a knowledgeable Dr. And that he has experience in brachial decompression surgery.

Dr. Mesilla operated on my neck . He replaced 2 disc's in my neck and after the surgery, the pain was gone
Dr. Mesiwala is the best neurosurgeon and physician I have had the pleasure of meeting for the treatment of NPH! He is brilliant, patient and takes the time to listen and ensure he has all the details to consider before he makes his diagnosis. He thinks outside the box for solutions!

Amazing dr
Dr mesiwala really took the time and explained everything and what his plan for me moving forward would be. I didn't feel rushed. He has preformed 2 surgeries in the past and have had no real complications. The 2nd surgery was alot harder for me and Recovery was approximately 8 months. I trust and respect him. His office has worked with me. Especially Hannah follow up with me. Alma has always been a great help.
The Doctor is very good and hasD compassion but, I did not have time enough to explain what was really happening in my body!!! I felt like I had to rush when Dr. M walked in the room. I wish, it shows that I am want more time with him and I wish he was alone instead of an aid with Dr Mesiwala!!! I was spending more time in the waiting room and a very short time with the visit. The doctor needs, more time with his patients. Not jus a hello and goodbye. He needs to ask more questions because the patient feels rushed and can not express everything to the time needed for the visit. PLEASE SPEND MORE TIME WITH THE PATIENT WITHOUT LOOKING A THE CLOCK.

Surgery seem to go well only problem I have is dealing with the doctors PA instead of him right after surgery. Had problems and he was not available had to speak with the PA. Needed to talk with a doctor
