The front desk assistant greeted me with a smile and was helpful and thorough during check in and out. I found the medical assistant friendly as well. She updated my records, took Xrays and made it clear what to expect during my vShow moreisit. My wait was reasonable in both the outer office and the patient care room. As usual, I found Dr. Herbstrith upbeat, positive and knowledgeable. I was heard and spoken to respectfully. I didn't feel rushed and all of my questions were answered. After the examination and diagnosis long-term treatment options were discussed and it was suggested that I take the time to discuss them with my family to formulate a plan. There was no hard sale or push. I was given a short-term treatment for some relief in the meantime. Overall the appointment was a success and I now have the information I need to make an informed decision. I look forward to working with Dr. Herbstrith and her staff on the road to better health and recovery.
Dr Amy is more than a doctor to me. She serves as an informer (giving me the info I need to make “informed consent” decisions), a counselor, a positive role model, and a great consoler (cause this doggone demon in my foot keeps reShow morearing its ugly head- over and over…). I only return because, even though she hurts my foot, she does it with tenderness, empathy, and genuine concern…. She never fails to be thorough and sure of her treatment, though it hurts like hell most of the time. She has put the meaning in a person going to her “happy place” - because she sends me there at least once a month when I visit her - I was blessed the day I found Dr. Amy…. I plan to tell all who need the best foot doctor in the universe to call her up, ‘cause that’s who she is…. May God continue to bless the business, her new assistant, Natalie, and her whole family and self!!!❤️❤️❤️

Dr. Herbstrith grew up in Sherman, Illinois. She received her undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois, and earned her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Ami is always patient and caring. She is present during the visit. I appreciate that she is very knowledgeable and she explains things so I can understand. She took care of my mom for years. My mom really liked her and I went to all of my mom’s appointments. She always spoke directly to my mom not like some doctors who will speak to the caregiver as if my mom were a child or as if she could not make decisions. It takes a while to get an appointment but it is worth the wait.
