On most of my appointments Ms. Amy Hancock is the medical person who over sees my care. One of her strong qualities is her calm demeanor and her willingness to take the time to explain any questions I might ask of her. As part of Show morethe team their is a young lady named Denise who is like a “bulldog” when it comes to getting answers to hard questions that both parties need to get answers foe. My personal experience with Denise is total respect. In the five years that I have lived in South Carolina she is the only medical professional who is not stopped by time and will work past the normal hours to get an answer to a patient’s problem and call the patient pass her normal working day to give the patient the results of her investigation of the questions that came up. It’s very comforting to know that the practice of Dr. Snoderely is in such capable hands as the team assembled to care for patients. Rating from my experience of the personal that I interact with. Dr. Snoderely: AAAA plus Jamie Hancock: AAAA plus Denise: AAAA plus One final note: United Physician Group is the only group of doctors and team members I will see in South Carolina because of their professionalism, care and thoroughness in diagnosis problems. For all my other medical needs I am fortunate enough to be able to utilize my GI benefits and be seen by the finest doctors at the Veteran's Hospital located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
I’ve dealt with many physicians offices where the staff is harried, overwhelmed and rushed. They have no time or inclination to smile or offer a kind word. The staff at United Physicians Group is completely different! From the momShow moreent you walk in, you are greeted with a genuine smile. The nurses and techs are always concerned about any problems I am having regarding my pain or medications. Amy Hancock, PA- C is an amazing caregiver who actually listens to what I have to say and offers solutions and treatments for my problems. Dr. Elizabeth Snoderly has been my physical for over 10 years now, out of all the physicians I see, she is the only one that I completely trust. I have followed her from Florence SC to Myrtle Beach SC, to Murrels Inlet SC and back to Myrtle Beach SC and now to the current office on Nigel’s Drive in North Myrtle Beach. I’m pretty certain that I would follow her and the staff to the ends of the earth if I had to because of the exceptional care that I receive from her and all of the staff at United Physicians Group. I honestly cannot say enough about just how much I appreciate how much they all have done for me.
Amy Hancock, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant specializing in Pain Management at United Physician Group. With three offices in Piedmont, Myrtle Beach, and Spartanburg, South Carolina, patients can choose the United Physician Group locations nearest them.
Amy’s lifelong passion for healthcare began in her late teens while working as a nurse’s aide. Her interest in nursing found her graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California.
Next, she returned to her home state of Pennsylvania. She spent the next 20 years working as an LPN in various settings, including nursing homes, family practice, and internal medicine.
Her desire to further her career by becoming a physician assistant led Amy back to school. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in physician assistant studies at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
In 2002, Amy took a physician assistant position in pain management and soon recognized her knack for the specialty. She says her longevity in the field echoes her appreciation for pain management and her desire to help others.
Amy is an American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) member. She enjoys visiting the beach, reading, hiking, and traveling when not working. However, spending time with her family remains at the top of her list.
