About Andrew Abela, OD

Dr. Andrew Abela was raised in the heart of Michigan where he developed a deep appreciation for community and healthcare. Dr. Abela pursued his passion by earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from Midwestern University, where he received Beta Sigma Kappa honors. He has now served the Valley for a decade in a variety of settings ranging from primary care to post operative surgical care. His dedication to young patients is evident in his gentle approach and commitment to making each child feel comfortable during eye exams. Driven by a belief that early detection and intervention are crucial for lifelong eye health Dr. Abela is keen on identifying refractive errors, strabismus, amblyopia, and all ocular disease that may present in our Valley's children.

When Dr. Abela is not in the office he spends his time cooking, golfing, or attending to his puppies.
