I really like the doctors and NPs that work here. The front desk is a different story. I never know when to arrive to my appts. They say arrive 15 mins early but if you’re not 15 mins early, you’re late. Then I had a glucose test Show morescheduled and I thought my appt was 3:35. I arrived at 3:15 because I’m driving from work/ Centerville and have to take a half day off work. I thought I had plenty of time for the test.. nope! I was told I was late and they couldn’t do it today. Plus I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to be fasting. So I went all day without eating. I even called to see what time I should arrive for the glucose test. They said 3:15! I think the front desk needs to be friendlier. I also work in health care and I can’t believe some of the comments I hear behind the desk in the waiting room.
I was extremely nervous about going to a new doctor since I had been with the same one for over 25 years, but who had recently relocated. But Dr. Jackson was absolutely amazing! She took her time and listened to all of my questiShow moreons and concerns BEFORE doing anything else. (And I even had a list!) Most of my past experiences have been that the doctors try to do what they need to do while also trying to listen, so they can get in and then out. I hate when they do this because I think they only get half, if any, of what I am actually saying. Dr. Jackson was the exact opposite! She was extremely patient and able to answer all of my questions, and at a level that I could understand. She even suggested some options that I had never heard about before. Thank you, Dr. Jackson for making a usually uncomfortable experience, a pleasant and thorough one.
Angela Jackson-Lopez, MD, has been with Physicians and Surgeons for Women, in Springfield, Ohio, since 2004. Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Jackson-Lopez is committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive gynecological care to her patients.
Dr. Jackson-Lopez completed her undergraduate studies at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, where she received her Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences. She went on to receive her medical degree from Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine, in East Lansing, Michigan, in 2000, before completing her OB/GYN residency at Synergy Medical Education Alliance, located in Saginaw, Michigan, in 2004.
Focusing her career on providing exceptional gynecological care to all women, Dr. Jackson-Lopez offers minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic hysterectomy and endometrial biopsies, treatment of pelvic pain, cysts, and masses, as well as high and low-risk pregnancy care. She also serves as the Medical Director of the Pregnancy Resource Center of Clark county. She is a member of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
In addition to her commitment to women’s health in Ohio, Dr. Jackson-Lopez is also committed to working abroad, having completed four Medical Mission trips to West Africa. In her free time, Dr Jackson-Lopez enjoys Disney cruises, Florida vacations with family, weekends away with her husband, and spending time with her 2 pre-teens.
