About Ashley Aurit, PT

Ashley is a Texas native, born and raised in South Austin. Growing up, she competed in a variety of sports, with competitive soccer and gymnastics being her passions. With this came many injuries, ultimately inspiring her toward a career in physical therapy. She left Texas to receive her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, with minors in Nutrition and Neuroscience, at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. Upon graduation, she moved back to Austin to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Texas State University.  

Understanding the values of manual therapy and proper exercise prescription, Ashley prioritizes changing one's movement patterns to address current pain and functional limitations, while also focusing on long-term injury prevention. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and activity levels, integrating the best available clinical research and tailoring evidence-based practices to each patient's specific needs. As someone who knows what it feels like to be discouraged by their body’s current limitations, Ashley emphasizes compassion-driven care and helping people overcome pain so they can return to doing what they love.

When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find her hanging out with friends, weightlifting, going to country music concerts, hiking, swimming, trying new coffee shops, cheering on the Texas Longhorns, or eating breakfast tacos and fajitas.
