Dr. Mehta has not only been my Primary Care Physician for 10 years, he's the best PCP I've ever had as well. He's friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable, adept in the latest technology, open to my suggestions & requests, & has theShow more friendliest & most helpful office & nursing staff I've ever found. Dr. Mehta is also very attentive & prompt when it comes to treating my illnesses with the necessary exams & testing to define the exact nature of my illness rather than guessing & just throwing antibiotics at the problem. AND NOW FOR THE REST OF THE STORY... Dr. Mehta has literally saved my life on at least 3 occasions!, including 1). Treating my severe Type 2 Diabetes with multiple oral meds, insulins & putting me on the DNA-BASED Diet he offers providing me control of my glucose levels after 15 years, 2). Sending me to to the hospital by ambulance from his office when I presented with slurred speech & a BP of only 70/40 and a creatinine level of 13 that could have easily killed me, but instead he enlisted a Kidney Specialist who treated me so effectively that I only came out with mild kidney damage & no further treatment required for the rest of my life... AND NOW FOR THE TRUE LIFE-SAVING EVENT HE BLESSED MY FAMILY & THE REST OF MY LIFE WITH!!--Dr. Mehta found my Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancerous tumors, referred me to the best Oncologist for me, which has now resulted in my being a 5 Year Cancer Survivor!!! To say I'm Blessed & Grateful is an incredible understatement, & I would recommend Dr. Mehta & Simplycare to anyone at anytime with no hesitation whatsoever. I've always had a good experience with Dr Metha & his staff . From the front desk to the last . I always feel so comfortable & know I can speak freely with them especially with Dr Metha , to me that's the first important thing he Show morelistens & ask questions and doesn't push off any symptom . He is so knowledgeable & explains why he is doing any test & diagnoses & treatment in a way that I understand. He has been my family's PCP since 2009. We wouldn't go anywhere else for primary care . I recommend Dr Metha & his staff to anybody searching for great primary care . His staff is always so caring . Ashok Mehta, MD, is a Board-certified Internal Medicine Physician at The DNA Diet Club. Dr. Mehta designed their program to help adults 20 years and up in and around Mount Juliet, Tennessee, find relief from chronic pain and symptoms of chronic disease.
With over 20 years of medical practice, Dr. Mehta has come across many sick patients carrying excess weight. These patients would get sicker and sicker, needing more medications.
He began looking for ways to help patients with obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol (metabolic syndrome) lose weight, allowing them to achieve their goals and reduce medications.
Dr. Mehta did the 23andMe DNA test and learned a few things about himself, particularly his genetic predisposition to gain weight. Furthermore, he tested the metabolic portion of his DNA, which led him to change his diet (according to his DNA). To his surprise, he lost 18 pounds in two months.
He introduced his methods to patients, and they also started seeing surprising results. Results not only included weight loss but also better control of diabetes, normalization of their blood pressure, and improvement of their cholesterol.
Dr. Mehta learned the importance of the gut microbiome (gut bacteria) regarding inflammation and its effect on health and mood. This interaction between the gut, DNA, and food can result in good or bad health.
He created a revolutionary health program called The DNA Diet Club and partnered with a California-based company, Digbi Health, led by Ranjan Sinha, Scott Levy, and others.
The program involves testing a patient’s DNA and gut microbiome and developing customizable recipes for each patient, delivered to their fingertip in Digbi Health’s smartphone app. A health coach throughout the program also coaches patients.
The program provides patients with customized recipes, full access to a well-known health app to make it easy for you on the go, a free appointment with a Health Coach, weekly check-ins, and free educational videos. The DNA diet program is the latest technique to help with weight loss and starting healthy habits.

Doctor was a little frazzled today and rushed, unlike her usual calm and attentive self. They were understaffed, she said, and appeared to be "over-patiented." I appreciated her letting me know why I was waiting, but she didn't make me wait too long. She still addressed my main concerns with thoughtfulness. Usually, on a normal visit, she is likely to get a 5.
