I almost never write reviews, but I’m doing this for my full grown adult brothers and sisters who are afraid of going to the dentist. I’m so afraid of dental work that I cry during x-rays. I researched for honestly a couple of monShow moreths to find Blue Pearl Dentistry and Dr. Huang is hands down the best dentist I’ve ever seen. He took his time to talk through every bit of X-ray, the cleaning process, likes and dislikes etc. I’ve always felt like my anxiety was annoying to dentists or that the pain I feel during routine dentistry is unreasonable. Dr. Huang is an incredibly empathetic, intelligent and clear communicator and it immediately put me at ease. He’s super gentle and respectful of your needs. I started out the appointment literally in tears and walked out of the office feeling like a huge burden was lifted. If you’re freaked out about dental work, have sensitive teeth or had a bad experience with a dentist in the past, go to Blue Pearl.
I moved to LA three weeks ago and did not yet have a dentist. I called the practice as a new patient with a broken tooth. Brenda took my call and quickly helped me to arrange a same day appointment. She was very helpful and friendShow morely. The dentist was knowledgable, kind, and explained everything to me fully. I never felt rushed. I felt very welcomed into the practice and am very pleased that my dentist in NY recommended them. Communication and follow up was great. The practice seems very clean, organized and professional I would recommend them!
Robert Huang, D.D.S., is a leading dentist in the Carthay, Los Angeles area, focusing on providing superior dental care with a compassionate approach and amazing results. Born and raised in Santa Monica, Dr. Huang has spent nearly a decade working with his uncles in a group practice in San Gabriel. Born into a family of dentists and healthcare practitioners, Dr. Huang developed an interest in following in his relatives' footsteps at an early age. After earning his bachelor's degree at La Sierra University, Dr. Huang received his doctorate degree at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. I know most people dread going to the dentist, but the Blue Pearl team is truly the best making each visit less stressful and actually enjoyable. I have super sensitive teeth and they always make me feel comfortable and are really patient with me. Appreciate their quality of care. Highly recommend!

This was my best dental experience ever. Dr. O was extremely thorough and explained everything to me clearly. She did not try to recommend unnecessary procedures. As a doctor, I really appreciated her bedside manner and will refer many patients to her.

Everyone is always so nice and helpful! I was in a big rush and they got my cleaning and x-rays done for me in 30 minutes.
Wish they aren't finicky about COVID as much. Everyone is vaccinated and LA has dropped the mask mandate, yet they still don't provide tooth polishing at the end and charges $15 PPE. Other than that it's great.

My first visit to Blue Pearl was much better than any I've ever had to a dental office. The vibe was peaceful. I was impressed with the ease of taking Xrays with the latest equipment. Dr Ochiai was so pleasant and informative and her gentle demeanor put me at ease. I was surprised how well the staff payed attention to my comments on the forms and kept me warm & comfortable.

I had the best experience here! Every single staff member was so kind, knowledgeable and patient. Even on a day where they were short staffed they took the time to keep me informed and educated on every detail of my visit. An amazing, helpful staff, could not recommend more!
