My two children had their first visit with her today. She was very good. Hard to put into words but just all-around collected, confident, direct, positive, practical, organized, competent - I enjoyed her. I liked how she was very Show moreto the point and kept things moving forward while still answering all of my questions (about how to conduct the eye exercises my boys need) so that I both understood fully what needs to be accomplished and also have specific instructions on how to conduct the exercises properly. So helpful. I hardly ever leave reviews but I am so grateful for ABC Children’s Eye Specialists. Shawn, who did the intake and all of their initial testing today, was above-average as well. And the woman in the Optics department is always so good to us (If you’re reading this - thank you for always being a blessing and God bless you!!) - Cheers
We have been seeing Dr. Cassidy for over 3 years or so. Just yesterday I brought my baby for the 1st time and will continue to do so, no matter how far his office is from my place. He is by far the best doctor we have had care foShow morer us (me or my kids). He takes his time to connect with his little patients before getting into business. He is very clear and patient. He will not leave the room until he answers all your questions. You might need to wait a little longer in the waiting room but Im good with that thinking about how he takes care of each of his patientes. Not to mentioned he is GREAT at his job! I definitely recommend him to everyone.
Brendan Cassidy, MD, is an ophthalmologist who has served the Phoenix community for 26 years. He provides outstanding pediatric ophthalmology at ABC Children's Eye Specialists at all three locations in Phoenix and Mesa, Arizona.
Dr. Cassidy has extensive clinical experience in all areas of ophthalmology. His areas of expertise include retinopathy of prematurity, ptosis, orbital tumors, strabismus, and other pediatric eye conditions.
After graduating from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, Dr. Cassidy completed his residency at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He then completed a fellowship at Children’s Medical Center of Atlanta, which included training in pediatric and adolescent ophthalmology, eye muscle surgery, and oculoplastic surgery.
Dr. Cassidy holds membership in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the Arizona Medical Association, and the Maricopa County Medical Society.
Through his work with Healing the Children, Dr. Cassidy has made several trips to Ecuador to care for children. He has also cared for international children sponsored in Phoenix through Healing the Children’s medical inbound program.
Dr. Cassidy speaks fluent Spanish. In his leisure time, he enjoys reading, skiing, and hiking.

It was great. Dr. Cassidy was very detailed in explaining things to us and he showed a lot of empathy when he assured us that our son would be okay.
Front staff was exceptional. My daughter has special needs so we waited in the car instead of the waiting room & they called us to come in for her appointment. Dr. Cassidy is a gem! We came to him for a second opinion for treatment for my 3YO sons strabismus and were very impressed. He was caring, knowledgeable, and great with our son, who is very rambunctious. I cannot recommend him enough!

Dr. Cassidy is a great doctor. The waiting room is always packed, but when the doctor sees you he sits down like you are his only patient and takes the time to explain and answers all your questions. I never feel rushed, it’s always a great appointment.

I LOVE dr. Cassidy he is great with my daughter. The wait is too much though. I travel four hours because where I live does not have an eye specialist she needs, and she got pulled back 20 minutes after her appointment time to get her eyes dilated. Then we proceeded to wait almost an hour and half after that just to be seen by the doctor.
