About Brittany Meier, LMFT

Brittany Meier, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist endowed with gentle -while still abundant- supportive empathy, honed over her 8 years of significant experience working in the Mental Health field.  Her license accompanied by her Masters in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage Family and Child therapy at the University of Phoenix have led to her holding the esteemed position of Deputy Director of the Intensive Outpatient Programs at Ocean Psychiatry. This deeply dependable clinician anchored in the original Fremont office is viewed as the backbone of our clinical team. Her depth of experience in a variety of settings includes outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, school-based and home-based quality services.  

Our cherished Deputy Director (of IOP) facilitates psychotherapy for a few fortunate clients as her time permits, she would say  “with the individuals she gets the opportunity to assist” such is her gratitude for the role she is honored to hold.  Her experience in group-based therapy for both adolescents and adults, along with her ability to address a range of mental health issues, highlights her versatility and depth of knowledge. Her focus on building strong therapeutic relationships and developing personalized treatment plans creates a client-centered approach, which is crucial for effective therapy.  Brittany’s skills in safety planning, crisis support, and connecting individuals to additional resources underscore her commitment to ensuring comprehensive care. Overall, Brittany's approach reflects a balanced combination of empathy, practical support, and strategic planning, which is essential for helping the individuals she sees achieve their desired outcomes.

In her downtime, Brittany is a car enthusiast:  she can change a tire and work an OBD2 scanner.
