Christopher Henes, DDS, fell in love with dentistry because it allowed him to meet new people every day, create lifetime relationships and find happiness in helping patients achieve their oral health goals. At Iliff Family Dental in Aurora, Colorado, Dr. Henes enjoys the relationships he has built over the years with patients.
Education plays an important role in Dr. Henes’ understanding of oral health and patient care. He began his dental studies at the University of Detroit Mercy, joining their Doctor of Dental Surgery program. Following his studies, he went on to complete a one-year residency training at Denver Health in Denver, Colorado.
During residency training, Dr. Henes was able to gain invaluable experience in molar root canals, extractions, developing complex treatment plans, working with medically complex patients as well as restoring smiles. In addition, he worked at Denver Health and was a residency director for their westside dental clinic.
Dr. Henes is also passionate about seeking educational opportunities in the dental community. He is a part of several professional memberships, including the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and the Metro Denver Dental Association.
When he’s isn’t helping patients achieve healthy and happy smiles, you can find Dr. Henes and his wife out and about, doing all the wonderful things that Colorado has to offer–biking, hiking, skiing, and trying out new restaurants in town.

I had a Great experience with the Dr and the dental assistant was very helpful and kind
I have a full set of dentures from a previous dentist. I needed an adjustment on them--they had created a nice sore spot on my gums. Even though I was a new patient, they were able to see me that day. A different dentist was going to see me in 2.5 months. They were very nice and appeared to understand and care, from the receptionist to the dentist himself. It was a pleasant experience all the way around. On top of that, the adjustment worked and I can eat without pain again!

I just saw Dr. Henes for the first time yesterday and he and his staff were amazing! I do not like going to the dentist and I must say that from the moment I walked in until I left was great! Dr. Henes asked if I had any questions or concerns and he really listened. He explained everything in a way I could understand and was also very gentle. I would highly recommend Dr. Henes!

Fast, friendly & Best dentist I’ve had in years
My initial visit with Dr. Henes was a very good experience for me. I had a lot of questions, and he had good answers for all of them. He did NOT try to up-sell me on anything, which in today's market, is rare. He listened to MY wants and needs, and we came up with a great plan that I am very happy with. Looking forward to next visits!

I've been bringing my son in for his regular check up and cleanings since he was 2 and he absolutely loves going to see his dentist each time. He'll be 6 now and still enjoys coming in.
