Dr James did a great job on my left hip and recovering well 7 months in. Butt... starting to have the same issue with my right hip starting out just as the left did several yrs ago. This was very frustrating being that I was told Show morethe Right hip was normal just 7 months ago prior to left hip surgery. Left leg is no longer than right per Dr James just 5/8 of an inch, but wondering if it's enough to cause trauma to the right side. He said not. Revisited with MRI for back pain, said I had scoliosis and most likely my back pain due to hip. Most likely need R hip replacement..... really yyyy. Going to Chiropractor, getting some chiropractic xrays and have him take a look.... Thanks but just can't do another surgery
Dr. James is a wonderful doctor. I had both my knees done. I could hardly walk with all the pain and crookedness of my legs. I am now walking and hiking daily and chasing my four, under 5 year old grandchildren!) My husband alShow moreso had one knee done. He still referees soccer games without any problems. We are both in our late 60’s! Dr. James also has a very nice bedside manner and takes the time to listen and respond to our questions! We highly recommend him!

A Tampa native, Dr. James is a graduate of Jesuit High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University, where he played for the football team as a wide receiver. He went on to complete medical school at Saint George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, and in select New York City area hospitals.
Dr. James completed orthopedic surgery residency training at the University of Missouri - Columbia, followed by a fellowship in hip and knee replacement in Chicago’s Northshore University Health System. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. James has had extensive training in all aspects of both operative and nonoperative orthopedics. His primary interest is adult hip and knee reconstructive surgery that entails both primary and revision procedures. At Orthopedic Specialists, Dr. James performs a variety of procedures, including hip and knee replacements, knee arthroscopy, periprosthetic fracture surgery, and knee and joint injections, to name a few.
He has been trained in the most advanced joint replacement surgery, including computer- and robotic-assisted techniques that allow for enhanced recovery and improved function. Dr. James uses minimally invasive approaches for his knee replacements and both muscle-sparing direct anterior as well as a mini posterior hip approach.
In his spare time, Dr. James enjoys trying to impress his friends and family with his culinary skills. As a former Purdue football wide receiver, he enjoys cheering for all Boilermakers sports. He also is a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning.

The doctor was straight away in explaining where the injury was in the healing process. He was easy to understand and to the point.
It was a little different than my former doctor of course but I can adjust. I felt more discomfort during the process of my knee aspiration and it has continued Since the procedure was completed. I’ve had aspirations done with my former doctor several times and usually I feel relief right away and within a few hours, I’m back to normal. This is not been the case so far.

I had several appointments in Dr James office and a bone marrow procedure at another clinic. At both locations I was treated professionally and all my questions fully answered.
I would hand appreciated more instruction from the doctor..but I assume that he believes the physical therapist will be giving instructions with the therapy
