I have suffered 20 years from RSD, nerve damage, Both hip are bone on bone. One has been replaced. Two back surgeries. Left torn rotator cuff. I met Dr Baker 3 years ago and can not be happier with his service. He has given me a cShow morehance to enjoy life. He has the best bed side manner and really cares about his patients. Explains things to where you can understand. I can honestly, say in 20 years I have never fealt better after his treatments. They take a few days or so but the wait is so worth it. Am able to finally get sleep and am not in such severe pain. Feel like I have quality left in life. Before I was in such severe pain at times that I could barely function some days. Dont know what he does different from other doctors. But what ever it is, he is amazing. He really gives 100% of his time to help you in anyway he can. I cant thank him enough. His facility is clean and everyone is so nice. They make you feel very comfortable. The gals at the front desk are sweet along with the nurses. I couldnt ask for any better. Believe me, I been to a few places before moving here. Dr Baker and his staff are wonderful. Would hate to loose him. His nurse practitioner Derrik is also nice as very educated and caring. I see Derrick now in between Dr Baker and he is very nice and he makes sure I am doing ok. Very good bed side manner and helps me stay comfortable in between seeing Dr. Baker for the injections. There all an amazing team. Thank you all.
I called Novaspine because I wanted a Dr that specializes in backs and spines. My first call to them there were no appts available for new pts the nurse said she would get back to me.(Wednesday) Much to my suprise she said called Show more back and asked if I could come in Sunday @ 7:00. I said Sunday and she said the Dr was seeing new pts and works on Sun. to accommodate them and so he can spend more time with them. The Dr spent more than 1hr with me. Reviewed my records and meds. I felt very Comfortable with the dr.and I knew that I would be treated without judgement and all my questions and concerns would be addressed. I have worked in healthcare management and I have never meet a Dr like this. I feel like I won the lotto.
Clifford Baker, MD, is an ACGME board-certified interventional spine and pain management specialist at NovaSpine Pain Institute in Sun City West, Arizona. While skilled in all aspects of pain management, Dr. Baker has a passion for the latest advances in interventional spine treatments, including radiofrequency ablation, kyphoplasty, and spinal cord stimulators.
In addition to his work at NovaSpine Pain Institute, Dr. Baker continues to provide health services to underserved communities through his work with the Commitment to Underserved People Program (CUP). He also spends his time and uses his expertise in pain management to support those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease through the Alzheimer’s Association of Tucson.
Dr. Baker completed his undergraduate studies in microbiology at the University of Arizona in Tucson and was awarded a NASA space grant to study the effects of microgravity on the immune system. He later earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona and went to Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California, to finish his internship and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation. While there, Dr. Baker received the Internal Medicine Resident of the Year award for his work ethic and commitment to compassionate care and served as chief resident. He also completed an interventional spine and pain management fellowship and extensively trained in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders and other chronic pain conditions.
Dr. Baker is an active member of the International Spine Intervention Society, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Using the latest advancements in pain management and interventional spine therapies, Dr. Baker is dedicated to helping NovaSpine Pain Institute patients thrive. He is committed to and enjoys finding solutions to long-term pain through customized treatment plans.

Dr Baker was running behind. However once he got to my visit he was apologetic for being behind. I’m very satisfied with him and would recommend him to anyone who needs help!

Staff very competent, knowledgeable, polite.
I have had 2 separate lumbar epidural steroid injections by Dr. Baker approximately 9 months apart. I had excellent experiences and results both times. In fact, my first procedure saved a long awaited golf trip to Scotland which had been planned for almost a year. I was experiencing severe nerve pain in my right leg which was totally alleviated after my injection. I am a retired general and trauma surgeon, so I clearly know quality care when I receive it. Dr. Baker was adept at diagnostic and therapeutic maneuvers. He performed my procedure with alacrity and minimal discomfort. Within 2 days my nerve pain was totally relieved. He clearly knows his spinal anatomical landmarks. I highly recommend Dr. Baker and his staff for any spinal issues which are amenable to injection therapies.
Dr.Morales listened, ordered appropriate tests, and spent time with us. We never felt rushed. I am confident he will be able to help me.

Dr. Baker is the best pain doctor I have ever seen. After severely injuring back back 30 years ago and after three extensive surgeries I had continual pain. Dr. Baker helps to relieve my pain with spinal ablations. I am able to work and lead a relatively normal life. His staff and associates are excellent. Highly recommend.
