I was satisfied with Dr. Harris’ response to my crisis. I asked the aid who got me checked in if I could have some water as I was very upset and she said they didn’t have any. Then when she was asking me sensitive questions (date Show moreof last period and how many miscarriages I’d had) I would answer and she would challenge me. Then she would offer her corrected answer which was the same that I had previously stated. Also, Dr. Harris was examining me at length which was painful and I did not know what she was doing. I wish she would have informed me. Another suggestion is that when a patient is having a miscarriage and is very emotional, there should be a private room she could wait it. I was sitting in the waiting rooms hysterical with all of these pregnant woman, which wasn’t good for me or them. Lastly, I have been in so much pain over the weekend with this miscarriage and have no pain medication.
Southern crescent is truly blessed to have Dr. Antoine as a part of their practice. Long story short, I started experiencing heart palpations through out my second pregnancy. A handful of doctors just wrote it off as being a “normShow moreal” pregnancy symptom. When I was finally scheduled with Dr. Antoine half way through my pregnancy, she realized that my symptoms could be normal, or they could perhaps be a sign of an underlying heart condition. She did not take any chances and sent out a referral for me to be seen by a cardiologist. Turns out I suffer from mild to moderate mitral valve regurgitation and the pregnancy was exacerbating the condition even further. Bottom line, she is truly concerned for her patients utmost well being and has awesome bed side manner! She is the main reason I have stayed with southern crescent.
Crystal Slade, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at Southern Crescent Women’s Healthcare in both Fayetteville and Stockbridge, Georgia. In 2016, Dr. Slade was named best OB/GYN by Fayette County Lifestyles Magazine, and patients agree that she lives up to the title. She develops a relationship with each patient, getting to know their personal needs and preferences for treatment. She performs routine checkups and treatments including MonaLisa Touch® hysterectomies and cryotherapy.
Dr. Slade began her education at Howard University in Washington where she was recognized for outstanding achievement in undergraduate research. She earned her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, before completing the residency program at the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann in Philadelphia.
When Dr. Slade isn’t in either office treating patients, she loves to spend time with her children. She is very adventurous with a love for nature and traveling. Between international trips, she enjoys biking, baking, gardening, and watching action movies.

Despite the long waiting room time, Dr. Slade took her time explaining procedures and making sure I understood what to expect during my pregnancy journey.
