I have never felt so heard by a medical doctor. I feel so reassured by my doctor’s ability to understand me and my symptoms and to explain thoroughly and clearly my imaging and lab results, prognosis and treatment. I like the new check-in app, but it hasn’t yet decreased my wait time. I went from the front office to another office before heading to my infusion as usual. The only aspect of my visit that needs attention is the reception. The fShow moreace(s) of this center should be friendly and welcoming. The level of care and kindness I receive in back should start up front.
Dabo Xu, MD, is a board-certified physician in gastroenterology, hepatology, and internal medicine at the Gastro Center of Maryland, with locations in Columbia, Olney, Riverdale, and Annapolis, Maryland.
Dr. Xu treats a wide variety of conditions at the practice, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), celiac disease, colon cancer, liver disease, and other gastrointestinal conditions.
Dr. Xu completed his medical residency at St. Agnes Hospital, as well as a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Michigan. He has conducted clinical and translational research on several topics, such as GERD, intestinal inflammation, liver diseases and cancers, and gastrointestinal pharmacology. His works were published in the most prestigious gastroenterology journals and presented at national and international medical conferences.
He has more than 20 years of clinical experience in gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr. Xu has a special interest in preventive care, often working alongside patients to prevent disease and improve their quality of life through precise and effective personalized treatments.

Great and friendly doctor and staff.
Everyone was friendly. Doctor interviewed me but didn't examine me. But that may have been protocol since it was a prep visit for new Screening Colonoscopy

Dr Wu is great! He run all the tests necessary; by process of elimination he diagnosed my condition and treated me for it accordingly. Great doctor, great bedside manners, little reserved( not a bad thing). Highly recommended!
The entire staff and welcome experience was pleasant and professional. Dr. Xu was even in his consult but gave me confidence in my future procedure. The office is very nice looking and clean.

Everyone was very nice and helpful, those at the front desk, the nurse and the doctor. The doctor actually took the time to meet with us and answer any questions we may have and explained everything we needed to know.
