The receptionist was so caring and so nice and made us feel so welcome to be there. My son and I had to wait about an hour and it didn’t matter I didn’t even realize that it’s been an hour because the receptionist was so kind . WeShow more could have waited two hours and wouldn’t even have known it would’ve been that long because of how great the receptionist was to us and everyone that was in the office . Then we meant the Dr. She also was very nice and very caring and took her time and asked him many questions .She also Took her time and answered all of our questions that we had. You could tell she really really cared. My son has some speech and other mental problems so I always go with him to the Drs . The way the Dr was with my son I don’t for the first time feel I need to go with him for follow up apts. I know he will be just find going to the office by himself. Great experience!!!!
I'm fair-skinned and a nature lover, outside every day of the year. I need a lot of derma help and have seen many dermatologist in Las Vegas and Reno over the 20 years I've lived her. Daisy is #1 for her genuine care, knowledge, aShow morenalysis, diagnoses and treatment. So very happy I found this practice. I feel like we are on top of any further melanoma and other cancer occurrence and my skin is in the best shape it's been in a decade with Daisy's excellent care. Erica was great on my last visit, too.
Daisy Hoffert, PA-C, MPAS, is a skilled physician assistant specializing in dermatology at LUX Dermatology in Reno, Nevada. She brings over 12 years of experience as a physician assistant and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Daisy is a Northern Nevada native who received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada at Reno and completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Touro University in Nevada. Daisy has specialized in medical and surgical dermatology for five years and trained under a Mohs surgeon for several years with a focus on moderate to complex surgical repairs. She also brings a vast array of experience from her years working in multiple fields, including emergency medicine, pain management, hospitalist medicine, in the Department of Corrections, and as part of a team at the US McMurdo Station in Antarctica.
Dedicated to patient education, Daisy encourages her patients to be active participants in their care. As a result, she prides herself on being an advocate for her patients with a focus on navigating the complex and ever-changing health care system. She provides appropriate and effective treatments while maintaining her patient’s quality of life.
When she’s not working, Daisy volunteers for skin cancer screenings with the Carson Tahoe Hospital Cancer Center. She is also an avid world traveler and loves spending time outdoors hiking, cycling, camping, golfing, and spending time with family.

Treated well, little disconcerting to have so many come to office after me but be called in before me. Maybe they were there for a brief skin ck while I was there for the first time. Got there 1030 for a 1040 appt. Seen at 1055. Really not too bad. Treated very well by staff and seem to know their business.
Doctor and staff were very friendly. The doctor really listened and took his time with me. The only issue I had is I was told to show up 30 mins before my appointment but the office is closed for lunch at that time which I did not know or was told. So I had to wait in the parking lot for 30 mins for the office to open up from lunch.
Lux Dermatology makes me feel important. The staff and Daisy are very considerate and caring.
