David Berkman, MD, is an exceptional internist and gastroenterologist at Hampshire Gastroenterology Associates in Florence, Massachusetts.
Dr. Berkman earned his medical degree at Cornell University Medical College in New York. He then completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, previously The New York Hospital, and Cornell Medical Center, also in New York City.
Later completing a clinical fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Montefiore Medical Center Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, Dr. Berkman brings almost 30 years of experience to the Hampshire Gastroenterology Associates’ team.

Dr. Berkman is the only G.I. doctor I've ever seen. I have been very pleased with all aspects of the procedures he has done from the initial meetings in his office to the follow ups after the procedures. He has listened to, and addressed, my concerns and questions.
Dr Berkman listened to my concerns and acted on them. I appreciate his respectful approach and his sense of humor.
Excellent service
As a Hampshire Gastro patient for about 25 years, I highly recommend the practice! Knowing Dr. Berkman since he arrived in the area, I am glad that is my physician because he considers the "whole" patient and addresses all one's needs for comprehensive customized care and follow-up with a dash of humor.

As always, Dr.Berkman had read my notes ahead of time, and was prepared for our visit. He went over my medical chart, as well as medications, giving his recommendations. His easy-going manner makes it a pleasure to be his patient.

8/1/2024 I am very dissappointed with the service I am receiving from Dr. Berkman. Although he has acknowledged that Dartmouth Health gave me a misdiagnosis of Auroimmune Hepatitus he is unwilling to change my medical record. He is supposed to be helping to wean me off the Prenisone I have been on for 7 long years now, but recently he left me with no appointment until Novemberr of December. And he has not scheduled any bloodwork to monitor my LFT's. There should be a standing order for monthly testing. He should also prescribe the prednisone with refills, but he fails to do this. I came to him for help and he has been very reluctant in providing this. I do not feel that he is practicing in my best interest, but rather the interests of Dartmouth. Stephen "Mike" Balch
My appointment was with Dr Berkman but he wasn't in the office so I saw Amy Kravitz instead. She was very informative about my problem. Told me to maintain using the medication I was on and to return in 6 months for another follow up but call if I start to have problems again.

Dr. Linson would get five stars in every category if thos feedback were structured in that way. She is one of the best doctors I've had in ages, including GI doctors in the Boston area. I'm really grateful that she made the sometimes grueling process of an endoscopy and colonoscopy much easier than they might have otherwise been. She's also a very clear communicator and excellent listener.
I feel I was treated in a very professional and knowledgeable manner by Doctor Beckman and his entire staff.

Dr Lindon is the kind of doc I think we all want. She was personable, professional, knowledgable and friendly.
