Greetings from Down Under. After many emails and a very long phone conversation with Dr Kaplansky I can tell you his warmth, generosity and excitement about his profession is genuine and infectious. He speaks honestly about mShow moreany subjects in particular Lapiplasty, of which he has extensive knowledge and experience. You have to imagine what it's like to need this when it's a hell of a time to travel to your side of the planet all the way from Australia where I live with all the restrictions, obstacles and risks in my way just to get there and line up at Dr Kaplansky's door for Lapiplasty surgery. I read his reviews. I watched his webinar and while there are no questions about his dedication, or his specialist skills in all things podiatry, there's a quality to the man himself beyond skills and training that speaks about who he is and pride in what he does that makes the 'patients best interest at heart' an understatement. This obvious, yet rare, level of sincerity is how I know my feet are in the best hands. Dr Kaplansky has proven to be more than a competent surgeon and a great bloke. His willingness to go above and beyond to provide all levels of assistance, and my needs are more complicated than usual, was a humbling surprise not to mention the guts to take on this challenge without hesitation. I had lapiplasty bunion surgery just recently and I was so afraid that I would wake up in pain after the surgery or after the nerve block wore off. Well, that didn’t happen. I was uncomfortable after the surgery which is to be expShow moreected but not in pain and the pain I did have was not unbearable as I did take pain pills. Dr. Kaplansky is a great doctor and surgeon. I was not expecting to be walking so soon after my lapiplasty surgery. I am in a heavy duty surgical boot and I am walking. I can’t drive anytime soon but that is okay. If you need bunion surgery or any kind of foot procedures please don’t hesitate to contact Dr. Kaplansky’s office and you’ll be greeted by the very friendly and professional staff of Joyce and Jasmine. I must say I was a little hesitant at first about having surgery at Taylor Station Surgery Center but everything and every one was first rate. I was very impressed. David Kaplansky, DPM, is a podiatric expert at Kaplansky Foot and Ankle Centers in Columbus and Reynoldsburg, Ohio. He is the son of Dr. Ronald Kaplansky and joined Kaplansky Foot and Ankle Centers in 2005. Dr. Kaplansky is a compassionate and energetic physician who’s skilled in the advanced techniques and treatments in podiatric medicine. His stated mission is to improve the mobility of his patients. He’s an expert in bunion correction, sports injuries, foot and ankle surgery, diabetic foot care, and dermatological conditions of the lower extremities.
After earning his Bachelor of Science at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Dr. Kaplansky went on to receive his medical degree from the Kent State University of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio. He then completed a three-year reconstructive foot and ankle residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Kaplansky is certified, both, in foot surgery and rearfoot reconstruction and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Kaplansky has a passion for teaching and enjoys the process of ongoing education to be considered a master in the field of foot and ankle surgery.
