Here is a doctor that has a practice and runs that while giviShow moreng his volunteer time at the VA hospital and truly cares about people and anyone that goes to him already knows what a great doctor he is. Deepan Dalal MD, MPH, RhMSUS, is a board-certified internal medicine physician and rheumatologist at RI Rheumatology, providing comprehensive rheumatology care to people in Cranston, Rhode Island, and throughout Providence County.
Dr. Dalal was born and raised in India. He began pursuing his career at TN Medical College in Mumbai, earning his Doctor of Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Dalal moved to the United States. He completed an internal medicine residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio and a rheumatology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center in Massachusetts. He also obtained a master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Before entering private practice, he spent almost 7 years as a teaching faculty at Brown University, and he continues to serve as an adjunct teaching faculty at Brown University.
At RI Rheumatology, Dr. Dalal diagnoses and treats various rheumatic diseases, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus. He takes a patient-centered and minimally invasive treatment approach, emphasizing healthy lifestyle changes.
Dr. Dalal loves sharing his knowledge with others. He regularly mentors medical students, residents, and fellows and contributes to scientific publications and medical journals. To stay informed and current in the ever-changing medical landscape, Dr. Dalal serves as a medical editor at Elsevier, a Dutch company that publishes scientific and medical texts.

If there were more than 5 stars I would have checked them all. Dr Dalal has patience, kindness and he gets me walking with little or no pain. Office runs very efficiently and no longer than a very short time in the waiting room. He, and his staff are wonderful.

Dr. Dalal is a very intelligent, insightful doctor who was familiar with my condition right away. He took all of the appropriate steps to ensure I am on the most effective and least toxic and burdensome medication for Psoriatic Arthritis. He is up to date with new medications and has kept me informed of my options. I have always felt like a partner in my care. I recommend him highly.
I am a senior citizen who has seen numerous physicians. Dr. Dalal is one, if not, the best I have had the pleasure of encountering He is incredibly knowledgeable, has an exemplary “ bed side” manner, attentively listens, is patient, and is an excellent diagnostician. This was my first appointment with Dr. Dalal, and everything about it was a positive experience. Although I was a new patient, I was given an appointment without a long wait time.
