It's been a while since I've been back (with the new job and all providing me with excuses), and there's quite a bit to be done so I'm a bit intimidated, and I wonder to myself if the nice little veneer that providers and their stShow moreaff wear to woo their clients in would've worn off by now - especially because I was late. So I walk in the door, head slightly down to deflect any arrows released in my direction, but when I chanced a look, there's the staff, Rob, Selena, and others right there in front, Vinh with a smile, and Dr. Prat seated and looking up at me as if I were a close friend, all of them with the warmest, most genuine "welcome back" look I've ever seen. My anxiety immediately drained away. I felt so at home. At the dentist. With no Ativan in my bloodstream. Just genuine human kindness when I needed it most. Thank you Dental Touch. Here is another of my 5 star reviews for Dr. Prat at The Dental Touch. I just had to write another after our last visit. I made back to back appointments for my wife and I and mine was first. Dr. Prat was wonderful as usual and thShow moreen when I finished I went in to see if my wife wanted me to stay with her during her appointment. She has had dental phobia since she was a child and usually needs my support to feel comfortable. She not only said I didn't need to stay, but after the appointment told me that she and Dr. Prat had been joking and laughing together! Well, you just can't appreciate how amazing this is! My wife and I have been together 23 years and this is the first time she has LAUGHED at the dentist's office! Thank you Dr. Prat for not only being a fabulous dentist, but also for being a kind, caring, respectful human!
A native of the East Bay, Dr. Dennis Prat grew up in Oakland, California, which is why he chose to set up his practice, The Dental Touch, in his hometown to offer the community a menu of comprehensive dental services under one roof.
Dr. Prat earned his professional degree at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 1985. Dr. Prat received advanced training by completing a general practice residency at Veterans Administration Hospital in Miami. After his residency, he maintained a private practice in Hollywood, Florida, for five years.
To broaden his practice, Dr. Prat went on to earn his credentials for Dental Implantology from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston. In 1990, Dr. Prat returned to Oakland, bringing his extensive training to patients in the community.
Dr. Prat keeps abreast of new techniques in dentistry by participating in many continuing education seminars. His professional memberships include the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Alameda County Dental Society, and the American Academy of General Dentistry.

Accommodating, actively listening and went above and beyond in the time he spent addressing my treatment planning.
I had Dr. Marjan but she wasn't an option to choose when selecting providers. However, she is fantastic! She is so friendly and was very helpful on my last visit.

Dr Pratt is very nice. He is patient and kind. He is also an excellent dentist. I highly recommend him. I’ve been a patient of his for over 6 years now.
Accidentally clicked “no” on recommending the practice earlier. Felt the staff were friendly and helpful. Ran on time. Dr. Romero was kind, personable and thorough. I did not feel rushed at all with him.

Super friendly office. Got me in next day even as a new patient. Explained everything. Listened and responded compassionately about my anxiety. Dr. Prat was patient and kind and gentle. The dental assistant let me squeeze her hand. And the end result was a quick recovery and well-done temporary crown. I'm not anxious about returning in 2 weeks for the permanent crown, as I trust they will take good care of me again. I highly recommend this practice!

Great accommodations were made for my disabilities. I enjoyed having a dentist clean my teeth, rather than the usual tech. This was my first visit and I actually got some time with a dentist.
