Doctor was great Receptionist and med assistant/nurse was great. The only thing I can say when I called for an appt the lady whoever I was talking too needs an in-service customer service skills. I talk with politeness. When I aShow moresked her one question (are there any open slots aside from the 11am). The lady raised her voice and said : we are very busy. I get it but the thing is you can always answer in a respectful manner. I told the lady " it's ok, I was just asking kindly maybe there is another opening." Just fyi, we all have different situations and events going on in our lives. In this world we live in, let's try to be kinder and listen attentively. I know she didn't mean it...but next time pls be mindful of the patients who seek care in your business. I have been bringing my son there for 13 yrs now. We have to keep the standards at par, 10/10 customer service. God bless. Again, no offense..just room for improvement for all of us.
My experience overall with Dr. Kapen went well. He was polite and professional and addressed all of my questions. My biggest complaint was the wait time to see the doctor. My daughter had a 9am appointment, we were on time for thShow moree appointment, but did not see Dr. Kapen until 9:40am. No one came in to check on us, or provide an update on when the doctor would be in, and Dr. Kapen did not acknowledge how long we had to wait when he came into the room. I am a working mom so my time is valuable, and I did not appreciate having to wait for 40 minutes. That 40 minute delay affected my work schedule for the rest of the day.

My children have been with Southfield Pediatric for a long time. My oldest is too old to go now, but he was a patient of Dr. Kapen. Now my youngest also see Dr. Kapen. I never felt Dr. Kapen didn't take my concerns seriously. He never rush me when I need to ask questions. My child likes him and his funny ties he wear. Truthfully, all the doctors are very good.
