I’ve been a patient of Dr. Klein’s for many years. Recently, I went to my hairdresser who noticed a bump on my head and told me to get to my dermatologist. I was leaving for Florida in 2 days and couldn’t wait, I went to Dr. KleinShow more’s office and they were kind enough to get me in within minutes. Arouca diagnosed, biopsied and gave me a prescription and I was off on my way in no time at all. Exceptional care by a lovely staff in a comfortable environment. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
Was able to schedule an appointment within 48 hours of my initial call. Ms. Novak was awesome! She reviewed and discussed my situation thoroughly, made a diagnosis, then answered all of my questions. My appointment was on a ThursShow moreday, and she provided her cell phone number in case I needed to call her over the weekend. Ms. Novak then squeezed me in the following Monday to observe and review to ensure that my issue was being resolved quickly. Extremely happy with the service of the entire office and Ms. Novak!

Elena Novak, PA-C, is a Certified Physician Assistant on the team at HK Dermatology. She provides the highest quality of dermatologic care to patients throughout San Juan Capistrano, California.
Elena completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine, where she majored in biology. She received her physician assistant degree from Western University of Health Sciences. Additionally, she has been trained by Dr. Klein and Dr. Kassardjian to provide excellent care for various dermatologic conditions. To remain certified, Elena must complete 100 hours of Continuing Medical Education every two years and pass a national recertification examination every ten years.
At HK Dermatology, Elena is committed to providing a supportive and comforting atmosphere for her patients. Along with assisting Dr. Klein in dermatologic surgery, she is highly skilled in diagnosing skin cancers, psoriasis, rashes, acne, rosacea, pigment disorders, warts, molluscum contagiosum, and keloids. Also, Elena has been trained on IPL, laser hair removal, PRF therapy, microneedling, miraDry®, and blue light photodynamic therapy.
Elena is passionate about natural aesthetics to create youthful results while utilizing fillers and neurotoxins. She has undergone advanced education in aesthetic medicine by attending multiple hands-on trainings and conferences.
Outside of the office, Elena enjoys time spent with her family, traveling, hiking, and cooking. In addition, she speaks Ukrainian and Russian.

Really good first experience! Very professional, friendly, through and on time! They were quick to diagnose my conditions and set up a plan to address them going forward. They started on two areas of my skin and treated them immediately and explained my care plan! I made a follow appointment in two weeks! I am confident they will take care of all my issues!

Atoussa is amazing!!
Angelica who prepared me for the biopsy was very gentle, careful and pleasant to talk with. The PA didn’t hurt me in anyway in doing the biopsy. As far as I know all went A-OK. Let you know when they heal.

Showed up on time but had to wait a half hour for a room to open up. Elena Novak was very thorough and friendly, and did a great job of explaining everything.
