Dr George was absolutely amazing. I was hesitant about being seen for PPD because I was embarrassed, but I went anyway and she was so amazing and helpful. She made me feel so comfortable and reassured me that I am not broken and aShow moren amazing mom. She gave me the resources and help that I need. She is an amazing physician, which are hard to come by these days.
Dr. George has been incredible throughout my entire pregnancy. I always felt listened to and that she was partnering with me for a successful pregnancy and delivery. There was a snag with coordinating a C-section and COVID testingShow more at the end and she went to bat for me to make it happen as planned. Great experience, would highly recommend as a provider!
Elizabeth S. George, M.D., M.P.H., is an OB/GYN physician and surgeon at Adefris & Toppin Women’s Specialists, M.D.P.C., in Woodbury, Minnesota. She is excited to join this practice of wonderful physicians and staff, and is looking forward to caring for women of all ages in the area. Dr. George chose a career in OB/GYN because she enjoys empowering and caring for women from puberty through menopause. She specializes in pregnancy and childbirth, as well as treating many gynecologic health conditions.
Dr. George is originally from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology/Pre-Medicine at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. Dr. George then pursued a Master of Public Health degree at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she also specialized in Global Health. She stayed at UW-Madison where she then completed her Doctor of Medicine. She then went to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana where she rounded out her training with a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After graduation, she moved back north to the Twin Cities to be closer to family. She has loved exploring and getting to know the Twin Cities area so far. Outside of the office, Dr. George also enjoys traveling, hiking, trying new restaurants, and going to see musicals at the theater.
Dr George has already been recognized for her high level of clinical excellence, being named a Top Doctors Rising Star by Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine for 2023.

I switched to this clinic at 12 weeks pregnant because I wasn’t satisfied at my previous one. Everyone in the office was so nice and helpful. I primarily saw Dr. George and I was lucky enough to have her on call for my delivery too. I’m so glad I made the switch.

The office and exam room spaces were beautiful; the receptionist and nurses were very helpful and professional. Dr. Engebretson was wonderful. She gave me great advice on how to lower my BMI. A wonderful visit. I will be back next year to see Dr. Engebretson for my annual exam. Thank you.
