The office staff and technicians exhibited extreme professionalism. However, I wish I had been advised in advance that all of the prep work for the procedure would be done by female nurses. I found it to be a little disconcerting Show moreas it was a surprise I had not anticipated. Again, their professionalism was quality in Nature. One suggestion would be that following the procedure, the patient should be given a new “paper skirt” as the one I was left with following the procedure with soaking wet.
The office got me in same day and everyone was smiling and friendly. The nurse called me quickly and nobody who was there before me sat for more than a few minutes before being called. The Dr. came in within a couple of minutes ofShow more the nurse leaving the room. Dr. Gottenger asked the questions and told me what he thought and before long the appointment was over. I appreciate the whole office making it an easy visit and attending to my needs.

Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Dr. Gottenger began his medical training in his native country, earning his medical degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela, before relocating to the United States. Dr. Gottenger did both his internship and residency through the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan, New York.
To enhance his skillset, Dr. Gottenger completed a combined fellowship in urologic oncology and laparoscopy from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA) Medical Center in West Palm Beach and the University of Miami School of Medicine. After his fellowship, Dr. Gottenger remained on staff at the VA and started a urologic laparoscopic program where he performed some of the first laparoscopic nephrectomies, nephroureterectomies, and prostatectomies in Palm Beach County.
Dr. Gottenger is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is board certified through the American Board of Urology. By also maintaining professional memberships with the American Association of Clinical Urologists, the American Urological Association, and the Florida Urological Society, Dr. Gottenger continues to stay on top of advancements in the field of urology. He currently serves as the chairman of surgery at Delray Medical Center.
While he’s known for specializing in comprehensive care and minimally invasive urologic surgery for the treatment of kidney stones and benign prostatic hyperplasia, Dr. Gottenger also helps patients struggling with impotence, infertility, cancer, or chronic bladder issues. He was one of the first physicians in South Florida to perform transurethral laser vaporization of the prostate using the cutting-edge GreenLight™ Laser. He also performs in-office procedures such as Rezũm and UroLiftⓇ for treatment of enlarged prostates.
His fluency in English, Spanish, Hebrew, and German allows Dr. Gottenger to communicate efficiently with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Best urologist I have been to yet...highly recommend!
Dr. Gottenger is a very caring, exceptional doctor. He explains eveything that he will be doing so there are no surprises. He came in and spent some time with me before my surgery and after the surgery he called my wife to tell her that everything went well, what he did and when she could pick me up. He is what you expect a doctor to be - someone who cares about their patience and their well being.

With every visit to the office of Dr. Emanuel GOTTENGER I find the staff friendly and professional. Dr. GOTTENGER takes the time to go over your chart and explains symptoms and changes to my condition. The doctor is easy to talk with and make you relax and comfortable doing the visit.

Dr Gottinger is very good. Takes his time listens carefully and answers all questions. The waiting room however was not that well run. I waited too long and could not get a good reason other than they know you are here. But it was worth it to see a very fine physician.
