About Emily Hopkins, LGPC

Emily Hopkins, LGPC, is a licensed graduate professional counselor at One Alkaline Life in Waldorf, Maryland. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland Global Campus in Adelphi, Maryland. Then earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University. Are you struggling with anxiety or depression? Are you feeling alone? You no longer need to feel this way…I can help you. Together, we can develop coping skills for you and work toward creating the life you desire. I use Cognitive Behavioral Techniques, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and acceptance. I have experience working with clients with anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADHD, and other issues. My approach to counseling is warm, nonjudgmental, open-minded, and positive. I will also help you focus on the strengths in your life and how they can be used. As your therapist, I will always do my best to help you feel heard, seen, and understood. Starting therapy can be scary, but I will be here to guide you.
