About Emily Hopkins, LGPC

Emily Hopkins, LGPC, is a licensed graduate professional counselor at One Alkaline Life, a telehealth mental health practice based in Waldorf, Maryland. With a warm, compassionate, and strengths-based approach, Emily supports clients on their journey toward emotional wellness and personal growth.

Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland Global Campus in Adelphi, Maryland, followed by a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University. She provides virtual therapy for adolescents and adults experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and life transitions.

Emily uses a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and acceptance-based strategies to help clients develop healthier thought patterns, manage emotions, and build resilience. Her goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where every client feels heard, seen, and understood.
