I started to have severe pain in my left foot. I thought my calluse had returned quickly but thought I would have to go to the emergency room because I couldn’t walk or put any pressure on it. Called Dr Harte and they informed me Show moreI could come in in a few hours. It was a white spot and called Porokeratosis which it a clogged sweat gland. In 6 minutes he removed it and put a pad on it and the pain went away. Today I went for a 5 mile walk and had no problem. I can’t Thank Dr Harte and his staff enough. This is why I gave the Dr and his staff 5 stars. Thank You so much for Dreyfus seeing me so quickly.
Dr. Harte and the staff at Cortez Foot and Ankle are super! Thankfully I was there for a minor foot problem but was nervous about it all the same. He and his staff put me at ease, addressed the issue in a very caring and professioShow morenal manner and answered all my questions and took the time to really inform me about the issue. I am a new resident of Parrish, and I saw Dr Harte back in 2015 when I was visiting. I’m glad that now that I am living here that Cortez Foot and Ankle is now my foot doctor!
Meet Dr. Harte
Garrett Harte, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist and foot surgeon. Dr. Harte joined Cortez Foot & Ankle Specialists in 1998 after practicing in the Fort Myers area and currently sees patients at their main office in Bradenton and in Ellenton, Florida. His philosophy is to treat all his patients as if they were part of his own family and give them the best care he can at all times.
Dr. Harte received his Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and received his doctorate at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his two-year surgical residency at West Jersey Health Systems and Wound Care Center in Camden, New Jersey. During his residency, he volunteered his time with a team of fellow surgeons in Guatemala to perform reconstructive foot and ankle surgery on children. He found his mission, and pediatrics as a whole, very rewarding.
He was past chair of the credentials committee at Manatee Memorial Hospital and on the executive board.
Dr. Harte completed the Florida Ironman in 2009 and enjoys treating fellow athletes. His wife, Christine, is a personal trainer here in Manatee County. He spends most of his free time with his three grown children – Jonathan, Patrick, and Kaylee.

I love getting toenails trimed and rough spots on bottom of feet smoothed. Asked questions about numbness in feet and Dr. Had a 'piece' made for under my 2nd & 3rd toe on right foot to take pressure off me putting to much pressure on those toes. Won't see persons until 1st of Nov.

Dr Harte and the staff are professional, friendly and empathetic. I did have an issue on product that came the wrong size and needs to be reordered, but that was most likely the fault of the supplier.
