Last month I suffered from a herniated disc. Yesterday's appointment with Dr. Keane was to follow up. He reassured me that in most cases these heal up. But given the current level of impact on my mobility, we agreed an epidural stShow moreeroid injection would be appropriate, so he will perform that next week. This is the second time I've seen Dr. Keene (the first was 2 1/2 years ago, involving spinal stenosis), and in both cases Dr. Keene has provided excellent advice.
Attentive and pleasant staff greeted me. A short wait later a medical assistant usher me to a room where I was to be examined. She asked many pertinent questions which I answered to the best of my ability, and she left the room Show morewhereupon a brief moment later the doctor entered. He was kind, patient, professional, and was just of whom I was in need. I am very pleased and feel fortunate to have been referred to the practice.

Dr. Keane graduated from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston and received his medical education from Brown University Medical School in Providence, Rhode Island. He later completed his residency at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, California.
Dr. Keane serves as a team physician for Stanford University Athletics and previously served as a consultant team physician for the San Francisco 49ers. Dr. Keane is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Functional Restoration at Stanford University School of Medicine. He concentrates his care on spine-related disorders.
Since 1992, Dr. Keane has served as a team physician and now clinical physician and consultant at the University of California, Berkeley. Previously he has acted as a team physician for the US Figure Skating Association.
Dr. Keane has lectured nationally and published extensively on physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Clean, professional, experienced
Dr. Keane is an excellent doctor who spends all the time you need with him. He is an excellent listener and fully explains all my options. During procedures, he has always made sure I was not in pain. He has a vast knowledge and experience. He is definitely one of the best doctors I have ever seen. And on top of it, he is a very nice person

Dr Keane was great. Efficient. Kind. Down to business but friendly. Knowledgeable. Experienced. Professional. I did call back to get more details on my upcoming spinal injections but that was no big deal. I recommend Dr Keane 1000 percent. One of the best. Perfect age, not too young and not too old. In his prime.
Dr. Keane is always so thoughtful. He has always treated me with respect. I appreciate the fact that he seems to understand the pain I am experiencing.
