Well it start well. Emergency staff and nurses were nice and surgery went well. Post operation was terrible. Dr. Ponce never came by afterwards. The other doctor (Dr. Sheik) wasn't informed that well by Dr. Ponce. They said I had Show morea blockage and that's why I wasn't able to pass a stole. When asked about it. They would do an xray and determine if it was blocked. Took forever to do the xray. When finally got the x-ray done. Dr. Sheik and the team left me in the dark. I asked nurses they said they look into it. No one could answer me straight. Plus nurses kept loading me up on so called antibiodics. Morphine was one of them. Found out later some of the meds that were given to me by iv were preventing me from pooping. Didn't matter how much water I drank I still couldn't go. Towards the end they stop loading me up on ivs and I was able pass a stole. When discharge they pretty much gave me the discharge papers and I was lucky to get a transport out. My feelings towards Methodist is that they are there to rack up the bill to insurance and quick to take gallbladder. Kinda of like chop shop. I hope no one experiences the frustrations and miscommunication that I did. I can get more in depth but, don't think will help.
I am blessed to have Dr. Guillermo Ponce de Leon as my doctor. I was admitted to emergency with perforated appendix. Dr. Ponce de Leon had me transferred to a bigger hospital once he saw all the lab tests and imaging that were Show moredone on me. Then I was kept in the hospital to treat my inflamed appendix and suck out the pus that filled my appendix. Dr. said he will wait and then when everything is clean will take out the my acute appendix Thank God as he promised Dr. Guillermo Ponce de Leon performed laparoscopic appendectomy, which was a day surgery, a successful one. I just had my week follow up with Dr. Guillermo Ponce de Leon. He said everything looks good . I feel so good. He is a doctor who makes you feel so important and at ease. He is not only expert in his field but expert in people's skill very passionate about his patients needs. May God bless him in abundance. I highly recommended him.

Dr. Ponce de Leon is the only surgeon my and my family trust. He's operated on my siblings, mother, father, grandparents and talking with friends and family we've learned he's operated on their family members. Very well known surgeon as his father as well. ER wanted to send me to a far away hospital like almost in another city and my mother requested they call Dr. Ponce and he said for to take me in to hospital near by the emergency we went to and I had my surgery same day. He's a very caring surgeon.

There was little time in the waiting room, which was great, and very little time in the room waiting for the Dr. I was disappointed in not seeing my Doctor. The Drs. were young and inexperienced one was an intern. I didn't like them looking at me.

Have been coming to this office for quite awhile. Staff is always courteous and welcoming. The NP and the doctor listened to my concerns and answered my questions.
Not a long wait to see MD. A plan to resolve issue was given shortly after exam.
