A highly trained and assiduous urologist, Dr. James Hwong provides comprehensive urological services for adult men and women in Northern California. Dr. Hwong is proud to serve patients at San Jose Urology Partners in San Jose, California.
He is an expert in general urology and a specialist in urologic oncology. His clinical interests lie in minimally invasive approaches to urological malignancies, their incorporation into value-based care delivery models, and addressing socioeconomic disparities in the delivery of urological cancer care. He approaches his work with additional background in biomedical engineering and business strategy consulting.
Dr. Hwong received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Brown University before earning his medical degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, and his urology residency at the Harvard Longwood Program in Urology. He subsequently relocated to the West coast to serve as clinical instructor and urologic oncology fellow at the UCLA Institute of Urologic Oncology. His contributions to the field of urology include numerous lectures, research publications, video abstracts, and textbook chapters.
Dr. Hwong is currently welcoming new patients at San Jose Urology Partners and will work hard to provide the highest caliber of urological care for San Jose and its neighboring communities.

Buen trato
My imagination for a vasectomy was way worst then the actual operation. The worst my pain ever got was about a 6, close to 7 but nothing I couldn't handle. Im happy Dr. Hwong did my operation because his description of what I would experience in the operation was pretty spot on. He made at me fell more at ease going into it.
