On 09/07/22 my appointment was at 11:20 AM. I drive from Cairo, Ga which takes me about an 1 hour & 20 minutes to get to your facility. It was 1 hour & 45 minutes that I waited & no one bothered to kindly update me or at least sayShow more Mrs Wilson we are running very much behind! I finally had to ask nicely if I'd been forgotten! I have worked in the medical field, dentistry & the hospital setting & I have always made it a common courtesy to inform patients about running behind & whether it was behind just a little or a lot! Some patients have schedules too. I made an earlier appointment figuring that I would be out on time to pick my 6 year old Grandson up by 3:30 after school. I'm really glad his Dad was able to get him! I was totally disspointed even after I saw Dr Lawrence since I just felt I didn't really didn't definitely learn anymore than I knew! I like her a lot and maybe I was already irritated about the extremely long wait without even being told that the staff was running extremely behind! I totally understand that these things happen since I have been in the medical profession. I would have stayed or left for lunch since I'd not had anything to eat because I didn't know it labs would be done or not. I would have asked that question & if not I'd gone to have lunch & returned to my 11:20 appointment which literally wasn't until 1:45 & still had to wait on the Dr about 15 minutes for about a 10 minute amount of time with the Dr. Please give better customer service to your patients they have schedules too!!!!
Today was different. I felt very judged and discriminated against! I was unable to make my full co pay and I was told I had to set up some type of automatic payment to be seen BUT A patient came behind me without their co pay of Show morea different race and was told that she would be fine and that she could be billed. Not only was that embarrassing but very uncomfortable! Each visit I am being encouraged to do something different from the last doctor advice and MY OPINIONS about MY BODY doesn't seem to matter anymore but I have made it 2 years feeling better so I would recommend this practice as a temporary one.
Jennifer Lawrence, MD, is an endocrinologist at Valdosta Specialty Clinic in Valdosta, Georgia. Dr. Lawrence moved to Valdosta in 2000 to join her husband, Dr. William Tidmore, Jr. of rheumatology.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Lawrence attended medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, where she was awarded honors in her research and received her medical degree in 1994. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1997. Dr. Lawrence completed her fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2000. Her principal research focused on thyroid disorders, including thyroid disease during pregnancy.
Dr. Lawrence is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and endocrinology. Dr. Lawrence practices general endocrinology at Valdosta Specialty Clinic, an affiliate of Valdosta Family Medicine. She is also the medical director of the South Georgia Medical Center’s Diabetes Management Center.
Dr. Lawrence has been active in the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, serving as a past president of the Georgia chapter and on the chapter’s board of directors. She has served on the editorial board of Endocrine Practice. She is also an active member of the American Thyroid Association.

Just the best always.
This was my first visit to Dr Lawrence. I had had an ultra sound done on my para thyroid. This visit was to discuss the ultra sound and go from there. Dr Lawrence explained everything in minute detail that I could easily understand. She was very friendly and you could tell she cared about the patients and her job. I will absolutely recommend her to anyone that needs a great doctor. The office staff are always friendly and gladly answer any questions I may have. An amazing point is you are not sitting in the doctors office all day. They call us in a timely manner.
Dr Lawrence and her staff are attentive and caring. I am so glad to have found her. I drive out of my home state to Valdosta, GA to see her. I will continue that drive. Dr Lawrence is worth it

Dr. Lawrence is always thorough with her patients. She ask questions and listens to and answer your questions and or concerns. She makes suggestions on how you can better take care of your diagnosis!
